Hayley is a wonderful, caring, thoughtful person . She brought dignity , respect and reassurance to a low point in our lives .
She arranged my mother-in-law’s funeral only four years ago and I was so pleased with what she did for us then that I booked her without hesitation for my husband’s funeral .
I wouldn’t use anyone else.

We were put at ease 1st time we went to see garry at hayley owen Funerals. He is such a lovely caring gentleman. I know straight away that they would take care of my mam, then on the day of the funeral, they all were fantastic + made the day a lot easier for my family + I.

Excellent service from Hayley Owen FD after my Uncle death.
Garry made it as simple as possible for me at a difficult time.
These guys know exactly what they are doing! I felt that I could rely on them to deal with whatever was required - a safe pair of hands, so-to-speak. This really helped because it was a somewhat complex situation and an inquest had been ordered. They dealt with the coroner for me when there was uncertainty over whether they would release my uncles body yet, or not. In my experience they were very supportive, flexible, professional, reliable and trustworthy and there was no "hard sell" of their services. Their recommendation for a humanist celebrant Steve Emmett he turned out to be an excellent choice, On the day of the funeral it all went without a hitch which was impressive, especially given that it was an unorthodox service with many moving parts. Based upon my experience, I would not hesitate to use hayley Owen again in the future and would recommend them very highly!

I highly recommend Hayley Owen. From calling them in the very early hours to advise of my Mother in Law's passing, to organising the funeral and suggesting the perfect celebrant. Apart from the fact that you have addressed the email to Brian who is actually the Solicitor and not me everything went ok. I was worried when the Theresa was stuck in traffic and nearly late for the funeral which has put me off using someone who lives outside York. I would probably use a local vicar next time.
