I am so grateful to them for the way they helped me following the loss of my wife of 41 years. I cannot fault the service provided at all. Every single person we dealt with was beyond just professional, from those we met at the time of her passing, the admin staff, right through to those in attendance at the funeral. The staff kept us up to date with the progress and procedures of everything that was required. Any decisions we were unsure of, they gave us time to consider our options, and prompted us as and when required, even down to the smallest detail such as the granddaughter being undecided as to whether her Nan should be cremated with a 'My Nan' blanket she had bought her last Christmas, or did she wish to keep it as a memento for herself. They kindly gave me a courtesy call on the morning of the funeral to ask if there was anything else they could do for us, or did I have any last moment questions/queries, at which time they asked if the granddaughter had made a decision. Their attention to detail, support, and consideration to us all was exemplary, from the first moment we made contact in the early hours of her passing, right through to the parting of our ways after the funeral itself. But it didn't even end there! We were then offered free counselling service should any of us require it. Something that came as a total surprise, that I hadn't even considered. Obviously the stress and pressures of such an event can be very immense, but I always felt that there was somewhere to turn if I was stuck with anything. They were literally just a phone call away - and not once did we get an automated messaging response or were asked to leave a message - it was always direct contact. When you wanted or needed to speak with someone, they answered the telephone! I just cannot thank Thornalley Funeral Services enough.
