Providing the very best of care for bereaved families since 1981, Thornalley Funeral Services in King’s Lynn is a family owned and run business which upholds the traditional values of respect and dignity.
The team of professional, considerate staff are proud to care for your loved one and help you with every step of arranging a funeral. As members of SAIF (Independent Funeral Directors), you can be assured that all members of staff abide by a strict code of practice.
No matter how simple or elaborate your loved one’s wishes, Thornalley will make sure that you receive the very best of care. Whether your loved one wanted a traditional religious funeral or a contemporary celebration of life, Thornalley Funeral Services can help you plan the perfect farewell. You can choose from a range of coffins, including traditional hardwood, cardboard, wicker and bespoke designs. Thornalley Funeral Services has its own fleet of limousines, which each have room for seven passengers.
Thornalley Funeral Services is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a 24-hour service. If you wish to, you can arrange to view your loved one in a peaceful chapel of rest that will be set aside for your use, making sure that you can say goodbye in private.

I cannot express my gratitude enough. The entire team were empathetic and very respectful of not only my family, but more importantly my mother who passed away recently.
Throughout the whole process, from the initial enquiry to the actual funeral, their professionalism and attention to detail was exemplary. They listened to all of our wishes and ensured all instructions were carried out, provided advice and generally managed all the arrangements which reduced the stress for the family. This allowed us to focus on what was importance to us.

Thornally Funeral Services were excellent from start to finish. The lady we spoke to, to arrange the funeral was so friendly and caring. She allowed us to take as long as we needed to make decisions. Andrew called us the following week to check we were all doing ok which was kind. On the day of the funeral everyone was so patient and caring. The cars were immaculate and the drivers so friendly and caring. I would totally recommend Thornally. I fantastic company

I was guided through the whole funeral process after the passing of my husband, nothing was too much trouble right through to the church service and burial. The compassionate and understanding staff were always available to help with any queries and requests.

They were so kind, helpful and professional. They assisted every step of the way as it’s all so overwhelming when you’re in the midst of grief. I particularly appreciated them referring to mum as “mum” instead of “the deceased” throughout our telephone conversations. The service went smoothly, we couldn’t have asked for more.

From first contact about arranging mum’s funeral right through to the day of the ceremony, I cannot think of one thing that could have gone better. Everything was handled sensitively with the utmost professionalism and gentle handling. Mum would have been thrilled at how it all went. I would definitely recommend Ray and his staff if you find yourself in the awful predicament of having to arrange a funeral, you simply won’t find a better, caring organisation to help you. 10 out of 10.

My mum passing felt my world had ended, but Thornalleys were there for me and my family, they were so professional, respectful and caring, they helped me , guided me and nothing was too much trouble.
