Providing the very best of care for bereaved families since 1981, Thornalley Funeral Services in King’s Lynn is a family owned and run business which upholds the traditional values of respect and dignity.
The team of professional, considerate staff are proud to care for your loved one and help you with every step of arranging a funeral. As members of SAIF (Independent Funeral Directors), you can be assured that all members of staff abide by a strict code of practice.
No matter how simple or elaborate your loved one’s wishes, Thornalley will make sure that you receive the very best of care. Whether your loved one wanted a traditional religious funeral or a contemporary celebration of life, Thornalley Funeral Services can help you plan the perfect farewell. You can choose from a range of coffins, including traditional hardwood, cardboard, wicker and bespoke designs. Thornalley Funeral Services has its own fleet of limousines, which each have room for seven passengers.
Thornalley Funeral Services is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a 24-hour service. If you wish to, you can arrange to view your loved one in a peaceful chapel of rest that will be set aside for your use, making sure that you can say goodbye in private.

The service and help we received from all members of staff was as always first class and my mothers funeral was conducted with care and attention. The biggest compliment I can give Andrew and all the staff at Thornalley’s is that they made sure they referred to my Mum in the present tense. It made us feel like she was still with us and meant such a lot at such a sad time. They were polite, respectful and organised at all times and we couldn’t have asked for more from our funeral directors.

I cannot give enough praise for the service we received from start to finish. From the respect show during collection of my dad all the way throughout the process of visiting him, organising the funeral and then on the day of the funeral its self. Thornalley are consistently gentle, compassionate and thoughtful. there are many small details that make the process so much easier to deal with, they truly think of everything and are ready to help at any time. Andrew, Traci,Lorraine and the rest of the team were very helpful at a really difficult time, and supported me with a very complicated family dynamic in the midst of me grieving and trying to organise the celebration of life service for our Mum.
They conducted themselves with professionalism, compassion and clarity at all times, to help me to navigate my way through all of the arrangements on my own due to very limited input from immediate family members, to ensure our Mum had the send off she so very much deserved.
Our Mum was treated with dignity care and empathy whilst in the care of Thornalley at the chapel of rest.
Nicole the celebrant who conducted our Mum's service, ensured that she supported me to capture the essence of our Mum, by assisting me to devise a personable eulogy for her based off of the information I was able to recall from Mum's life in our initial meeting together, which I provided to her for this, even adding some last minute details from my older sister at very short notice!
Despite the family dynamic, Mum had an amazing send off, based off of her previously discussed expressed wishes.
We as a family could not have asked for more from Thornalley funeral services.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for the exemplary service our Mum received whilst in your care.
