I would like to thank F A Albin & Sons for the excellent service they provided for our family during a very difficult time. They went above and beyond any expectations and nothing was too much trouble for all their staff to support us whilst we were grieving. They provided a first class service and made the funeral arrangements less stressful.

We couldn’t have asked for a better service for our beloved Ashley. From the minute Albins had picked up Ashley from his home to the end of the funeral the service was absolutely amazing. Christine and her team looked after both Ashley and the family extremely well.  The team have so much compassion that they make a very difficult time less stressful and more easier to deal with. We saw our Ashley at the Chapel of rest 4 weeks after his death and the team at Rotherhithe dressed him how we wanted and respected all our wishes and made Ashley look at peace. Christine was very calming and let us have as much time as we needed. On the day of Ashley’s funeral George, Darren and the boys were amazing! They dressed the coffin and hearse so beautifully that Ashley arrived in absolute style and looked stunning. The boys were very respectful and made us feel like royalty as we were well looked after and were talking with us the whole time. They let me and my siblings walk behind our brother when we set off for the Crematorium and respected all our wishes. When Ashley was driven past the Welling branch Christine was there waiting for Ashley which made us feel that he and us were very loved. We would highly recommend the team as the love, compassion and respect they have for the deceased and their family is outstanding. They made a very difficult day into a beautiful celebration. We had our priest Father Michael Jones lead the service and the service was just simply perfect, in actual fact the whole day was perfect. We also had two doves from Albins and George assisted with Ashley’s parents to let them go which made everyone smile! Thank you so much to Christine, Dawn, George, Darren and the boys for giving our Ashley the send off that he deserves xx

With grateful thanks to Shirley who arranged everything for us and talked us through all we needed to put in place you are a gem. From the day Michael was collected from home by Danny and George to the day he was laid to rest he was treated as if he was one of their own. Thanks to Danny and the team on the day for all the reassurance and to Albins as a whole for all the 'little touches' that made the day so memorable and special for us. There are Funerals and Funeral Directors, and then there are Albin Funerals and Albin Funeral Directors. My family have been using Albin's since they began trading well over 200 years ago. I remember my Father telling me that his Grandfather had been buried by one of the founders of Albin's. My Father attended school with Freddie Albin back in the early 1920's and in my lifetime Albin's have attended dozens and dozens of my families funerals and been there in our need. I come from a very large Bermondsey family and whenever we have lost "one of ours" it is "one of theirs" that is right there with us. From the start to well after the finish, they just know. They know what you want, what you need and that is indescribable and uncalcable. There is a style and finesse with a Funeral at Albin's which I have never seen with any other firm. The Cars, Chauffeurs, Bearers, Conductors are absolutely immaculate. Their attention to detail is second to none. If you are looking for a benchmark to aspire to as a competitor, you have got 200 years and many generations to catch up on. Many people are frightened of death, but when the clock of life stops ticking, be sure to call on Albin's because they will look after you on your final journey and those you leave behind just like you was one of their own.

From the outset, everybody at Albin's was excellent from Christine and Dawn at the Welling branch to the two guys who came to my house to collect Susan. They were courteous and respectful and treated my daughters and I very sympathetically. On the day of the funeral, I couldn't have asked for a better group of people, lead by Steve, to see us through the funeral service. They made the experience more bearable and handled every little detail, leaving us with the time we needed to pay our respects and grieve.

This was our second time using Albins. Christine at the Welling Branch was again supportive and helpful throughout, making the process as easy as it could be. Frpm time of taking Mum into their care to after the service Albins did a great job. On the day of the Funeral, Chris and the team were totally professional and did their bit calmly and respectfully - remarked positively on by guests. It all added to a good celebratory send off. To whom it may concern,




On Friday 2nd August 2019 F A Albins done the funeral for my Late Girlfriend Tracey Neal, I wanted to email and say just how amazing your service is.
From the start of engaging in your services Chris at your Welling office was compassionate, she was understanding of our needs and always accommodating to us, she even called me a few times just to see how I was doing, she at all times remained very professional, and made an extremely difficult time in my life so much easier.
Even bringing Tracey down from castleford wasn’t too much trouble, I was told the guys that went to get Tracey left at 4am!! That’s a big deal for us as it meant we could all say goodbye at the chapel of rest so we are extremely grateful to them for doing that for us.




To see Tracey before the cremation we had to go to Rotherhithe to your head office, I explained I’ve not seen her for nearly 3 weeks since she passed away and I’ve never been to a chapel of rest before, Scott took me down the hall we stopped outside and he explained what I should expect, we went into the lily chapel, (incidentally Lily’s were Tracey’s favourite flower so that was a nice touch) I walked over to Tracey and just started crying and Scott put his hand on my shoulder and comforted me and then gave all the time I needed to say goodbye to the love of my life. Also joanne and the girls on reception were just as amazing, we had a chat and joanne even found me a couple of phone numbers for child bereavement charity’s for the two younger children.




On the day of the funeral George was responsible for us and Tracey’s funeral with his boys, I can’t remember their names, but they also were professional at at times, George kept us up to date with every step of the day, he was absolutely amazing with us, he even let  everybody for Tracey’s Funeral walk behind the hearse the last few yards to the chapel for her service as we didn’t follow in the cars to the crematorium, something we will be forever grateful for.




Myself Tracey’s 2 sons and Tracey’s 3 brothers carried the coffin from the hearse into the chapel for the service, even taking 5-10mins to explain how we were to do it wasn’t too much trouble for George, after the service George even came to find me and said goodbye and wished me and the family well for the future.




I really felt I should write in and say a MASSIVE THANK YOU from myself and my family for making an awful day so much nicer then it should be, we can never tell you all just how fantastic your staff are, words cannot say just how grateful we are for that.
