Everything was good except that when the family came to view mum we had a traumatic visit as her legs and arms were not covered and we could see the embalmers coverings. This is something we can never unsee now. Nicola had been in with mum to place a cushion in the coffin so she should have realised that it was not right. After speaking to Nicola she apologised and assured us that mum would be covered for our next visit. This was done. It was thoughtless of Stibbards to do this to a grieving family. We were also assured that staff training would now include making sure that our loved ones are respectfully covered. Judy Webb

I am glad that Nicola apologised and made sure that everything was as it should be when you returned and I hope your second visit provided the comfort you needed. We have also taken what happened seriously and reinforced our procedures with the team so that the necessary checks are made before a family comes to visit and any potential issues resolved.

They couldn't have done more if they tried, they supported ,advised accommodated our requested ,were very professional though out the process, looked after us from start to finish and I know it sounds strange to say it was a very
enjoyable service ,He would have loved it, Chapel and surroundings at Pitsea Crematorium where more than expected, the Celebrant told his story well and made us all feel at ease and shared the stories of his life . WELL DONE to you all

We cannot thank you enough for the beautiful service you arranged for our lovely mum. From start to finish, everything was handled with such care, compassion and dignity. You helped make an incredibly difficult day a truly special and meaningful tribute to a very special lady who meant the world to us. Losing Mum has been heartbreaking, but knowing that her final farewell was so beautiful and that every detail was taken care of so thoughtfully brought us great comfort. You treated Mum and our family with such kindness and respect, and we will always be grateful for that. Thank you for helping us give Mum the send-off she deserved. Stibbards were incredible during a really difficult time. The communication was excellent which was great for me and my sister as we knew what was happening all the way along the process. If we had any questions, they didn’t hesitate to help and offered suggestions along the way. The funeral itself was impeccable and this was due to Stuart and the rest of the Stibbards staff being so professional on the day. We couldn’t have asked for more so thanks.

We cannot thank Stibbards Funeral Directors enough for the care, compassion and professionalism they showed us following the loss of my beloved wife, Natalie.
From the very first contact, everyone we dealt with was kind, understanding and respectful. They guided us through what was an incredibly difficult time and took care of every detail, allowing our family to concentrate on saying goodbye to Natalie.
The funeral service was beautiful and exactly what we wanted for her. Everything was handled with such dignity, care and attention to detail, and we felt that Natalie was treated with the utmost respect throughout.
At such a heartbreaking time, having people who genuinely care makes such a difference. We will always be grateful to everyone at Stibbards for helping us give Natalie the farewell she deserved.

From our first meeting with David through to the day of the funeral, always there at the end of the phone for support. The day of the funeral went like clockwork which took away a lot of stress the family were feeling on the day
