Extremely professional and caring at what is a very difficult time for the bereaved. Nothing is too much troubled someone is always available to advise or just to hold your hand whether in person at the office, mobile phone or email.

Debbie and Lee were wonderful. They guaged our family perfectly and understood us and our sense of humour. The funeral was beautiful and we and our dear mum were treated with dignity and compassion every step of the way.

From the moment we called them all members of staff have been so helpful, respectful and caring. We highly recommend Stibbards. At a time of total sorrow for your loved one they are wonderful to deal with. Alison who works at Shoeburyness parlour was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her from start to finish. Very nice people and understanding. Everything went smoothly on the day except for a couple of items.
1. On viewing the flowers the incorrect persons name was in the frame and my son had to bring this to the attention of the Conductor..
2. The celebrant, a lovely lady, but made a mistake with the date of the passing of my husband although she had the correct date written down.

So Impressed with the service we received from the minute we arrived at Rayleigh office we new we had chosen right for our daughter, Leo was outstanding from the initial arrangements to the chapel visits and the day itself nothing was ever to much, Stuart on the day was equally as good making contact before to make sure all our wishes were seen to and that the flowers were organised as we wished. The Service on the day was carried out by John Stanard whose readings and support of the speakers was second to none. Thank you Leo, Stuart and John for your professionalism and caring nature in making our Daughters final journey memorable….

Loosing Dad, mums husband was a tough time for our family. We left him in the mortuary at hospital and closure for us was a problem having only seen him last in a white robe. After signing up with Stibbards, dad was transported to their funeral Palour in Southend and we were informed when he was resting with them. The director, Janice was very professional and listed out the prices and requirements. We wanted the best for our dad because we loved him, so even though we were strapped for cash, we ordered one of the most expensive coffins in their catalogue. It was fantastic to be allowed to make an appointment to view Dad's body in a private room. Janice was always accommodating and polite to Dad by talking to him and telling him we were here as she led us into the room. We know he had passed, but this showed respect for his body. The best or most commendable part of this journey was how the hearse and limo procession conducted themselves. The attire and care of passengers was first class. Dad had a dignified send-off, and despite the cost, which was not unreasonable due to the high standards, it was more than acceptable. I thank God a company like Stibbards exists because it made closure and burial a very fluid and satisfactory experience. Rest in Peace, Dad. We have done the best we can for your funeral.
