From the moment we walked through the Parlour door and was greeted by Wendy we were made to feel comfortable that our needs would be met. They were in the event provided provided in a respectful and unobtrusive way which took away all the stress that these sad occasions can have.
Thank you and well done to all at Stibbards that had a hand organising and carrying out Julie's the funeral to our wishes.

From the day when you picked him up right to the day of the funeral which was nearly 6 weeks your service was second to none Everybody that I spoke with either in person or via the telephone nothing was too much trouble.  A massive Thank you to Wendy who truly makes everything run smoothly and keeps you updated on every move prior to the day. Simon showed total respect all the time he was with us all on the day and a Big Thank You to Simon.  You all made the day run so smoothly words cannot express how grateful I am to you all. The service and care we received from Debbie at Stibbards was exceptional. We were guided every step of the way and Debbie was always there on the other end of the phone to answer any questions. Everything was very professionally handled from Dad's care home right to the end of the ceremony. The calm and professional manner we experienced from Stibbards made a massive difference at what could be a very stressful time and I cannot thank you enough. I did find returning of phone calls when making enquiries a bit slack,  otherwise everything else was very very good. My Mum looked wonderful in the Chapel of Rest. She looked peaceful and well presented. The services on the day were absolutely fantastic, very thoughtful and professional. The staff on the day were fabulous.  Her basket coffin was beautiful and well made and Stibbards acted out all Instructions for the afternoon and service. Would definitely use them again.

I cannot express deeply enough the excellence of this Funeral Directors. Our mother died whilst living in Essex surprisingly and we live in Heathrow. Therefore it was not an easy funeral to sort with both of us having demanding jobs. However Kate, in the Southend office was beyond diligent to deeply caring, professional, clear in communication and just a lovely lady providing a superb service. I am a minister of Religion and in my 30 years of ministry these are the best Funeral Directors I have ever worked with. They not only informed you what was going on - they told you when they could not proceed with issues and why. I cannot say thank you enough or rate them highly enough. Superb! In our darkest moment you were a light to guide our path - thank you so much.

I can’t recommend them highly enough. From first contact they were respectful, professional and sympathetic. They helped us to arrange all the small details, including printing out our photo for the service, and made a stressful time slightly more bearable. The cars arrived on time, the drivers were calm and respectful and waited patiently for us to chat with guests after the service before driving us home. They even loaded the floral tributes into the car, then laid them out on the front lawn for us at home. I can’t fault them at all. Very professional and caring service.
