We were very disappointed with the level of support we received from the Newark Coop Funeral Services. Apart from the one visit to our home - even then important documents were missing - that's the only personal contact we had. We had to contact the Newark Coop at all times to find out what was happening.
Even on the day of the funeral Judith had to ring the Coop to describe herself to Mark to make sure that he would recognize her!
We sent an email as requested to the Funeral Directors who didn't even have the decency to reply.
My father in laws funeral was organised by Gills and we felt that the level of personal service was far superior to that received from Newark Coop - and they were cheaper as well.
This was a difficult period for Judith who was grieving for her mum and this could have been made more bearable with a sympathetic and caring service from the Funeral Directors.
So we were very disappointed and will be asking for a reduction in price.
We will say that we were very pleased with the services we received from the Civil Celebrant who was very caring and professional and always kept us informed and in contact at all times.Deleted Bellamy replied

This will ensure families do not feel the stress you did at that time. We always take feedback very seriously and see it as an opportunity to train and review the performance of my team. I was really impressed with the service that I received. Thank you for the kind consideration of my wishes regarding the lead up to the burial of my father in law. The funeral was a celebration of his life and we are extremely pleased with the service that we recieved.

The Louth Co-op service were excellent in every way in dealing with the death of my mother. All their staff were courteous, knowledgeable, attentive and respectful.We couldn't have wished for a better service at this most difficult of times.

Everything was organised efficiently and with sympathy and respect. We are grateful for their dedication.
The only fault was a typo on the front of the service sheet, which had the date of the service as January, not February, and none of the 3 family proof readers spotted it either.Spare KC replied

Phil Chapman gave excellent service all through the many days. Suzanne from the Alford branch could not have been kinder through all the details and arrangements. We thank them both and the other staff involved. As I said to Suzanne, you choose your staff very well. They do their jobs with care and compassion.

From my first meeting with Aly we were treated with respect and compassion throughout. The funeral was carried out with dignity and respect in the best possible manner. Nothing was too much trouble and we are grateful to all the staff that were involved.

The service given was excellent. Charlotte was efficient,kind and very concerned that we knew exactly what was going on at all times. They were extremely helpful in liaising with the church and the burial ground to make things as easy as possible for us .
