John Weir was not chosen but it was stipulated in the Will as they had been used twice before with success. They were excellent at organising the arrangements and went above and beyond to resolve a particularly difficult issue that was not of their making. On the day of the funeral I could not have wished for it to gave gone better. The John Weir staff in attendance at the funeral were accommodating, courteous and friendly at a time of sadness. John Weir was chosen for me in the Will and I can understand why and I, from my own experience, would thoroughly recommend them as well.

Absolutely amazing from the first time that we met Ben at the office of John Weir right through to the funeral day itself, Shane the conductor  and the pall bearers were brilliant  we couldn’t ask for more, as you can imagine totally respectful of my father and us the family, Amanda from John Weir rang the day before to make sure every little  detail was correct and the day of the funeral ran like clockwork, having  never done this before we knew nothing of the protocol and literally everything is explained to you and sorted, nothing is too much trouble, I would and will recommend John Weir Funeral Directors to anyone in the future, all you can ask is that your loved ones both in death and living are looked after and in our experience this is exactly what we got

Very professional and helpful at a difficult time from both the main office to Julia who works at the Parkwood branch. Julia made the funeral arrangements and meeting with her bearable with empathy.

The team looked after my mum very well, from collecting her at midnight to the last duty of carrying her through to the crematorium.

The hearse team were respectful throughout under the leadership of Shane who looked after my family while also presenting full respect to the dignity of mum and our family. We were kept informed throughout with regular contact from Les in the Gillingham office.

They have become our funeral directors of choice over the last decade and we will continue in the trend.

I would have no hesitation in recommending their services to friends and family.

The service provided by John Weir Funeral Directors was excellent.  From the first point of contact by phone, through to the day of the funeral and afterwards, everyone on the staff was kind, courteous, sympathetic, sensitive, efficient and professional.  We returned to this firm because we were so pleased with their service at the time of a previous bereavement some years ago.  Their standards were equally high on this occasion. I would say the service they provided was perfect.  I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Les and Amanda at Gillingham went beyond our expectations. Such compassion, sympathy and understanding was shown throughout. Attention to detail and double checking everything we asked for made sure the service was exactly as we wished. Unfortunately the celebrant really let us down on the day but this was not the fault of John Weir and they took our feedback gracefully and passed the information onto the necessary people. Thank you so much Les and Amanda for helping us with great dignity every step of the way.

Julia was very helpful and considerate. I could not attend on the day due to a covid infection but my wife has told me that everything went smoothly and professionally. No one enjoys the funeral of a loved one, but the situation was made a lot better by all of the John Weir staff.

At such painful times it is so important to have a team in place who can be trusted to ensure everything runs smoothly.
