When we lost my dad beginning the search for a funeral director just seemed a hard task when we were feeling vulnerable, and wanting to make the right choice. It was the last thing we wanted to be doing. We called a couple but it didnt 'feel' right - so we spoke to our local priest who knew my dad and he recommended Mark.
From the off Mark was very kind and had a genuine manner. He talked with compassion all the way through the process, and clearly, so we felt looked after. He was in contact with us whenever we needed something, and never felt like he was in a rush to be somewhere else. Thanks Mark for everything, you made what was a terrible time much more bearable.

Mark took care of both my mum and dad’s funerals, the latter being in difficult circumstances, with the utmost professionalism and with compassion. Mark and his wife removed any stress from the process of making arrangements, and their personal touch felt particularly genuine and comforting. Mark Rouse was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. We changed the route to the crematorium the day before the funeral to have stop off at dad's work place and he was more than happy to assist. Answered all my telephone and email queries promptly. On the day he exceeded our expectations. Highly professional and I would definitely recommend. Thanks Mark!

Mark and Steve looked after my Mum when she passed away 3 years ago and they were so caring, kind and professional and took care of her. My father recently passed away and I could not think of anyone better to look after my dad so I contacted Mark and Steve @ Rouse & Co. My fathers funeral was this week during this pandemic and considering the restrictions they still ensured my dad had the send if he deserved. I’ve even told Mark the owner when my turn comes he has to take care of me. I would defiantly recommended Rouse & Co they are a business just like the next funeral parlour but there is a difference, they genuinely care, they listen and most of all show respect and kindness to both the family and the person who has passed away. I couldn't find  fault  with  Mark .He has a wonderful soothing, understanding ,caring nature and made the funeral process that slightly bit  easier to digest , which when you're grieving isn't an easy task .

The price was very competitive , which I also found somewhat soothing too .

Following the sudden death of my Mum with a Coroners investigation I cannot thank Mark Rouse and his family for making my Mum’s funeral arrangements smooth.

Nothing was too much trouble and any last minute worries were smoothed by Mark and Carrie-Anne. Any number of viewings with relatives that had travelled were no trouble and Mum was just so serenely presented in her coffin, it was just what Mum would have hoped for.

Mark was just so respectful and professional yet caring, kind and personal, he went above and beyond.

Thank you for looking after my precious Mum like she was your own.

I am especially glad I chose a small family local company so the personal touch was very welcome. There was absolutely no hard sell.

From the printers to the Celebrant and coffin bearers to the care with flowers at the crematorium, it was all worry free.

Under very difficult circumstances, Mark's help and support throughout, made a very sudden and tragic loss much easier to cope with. The kindness shown to the family was appreciated by all. Mark was present every step of the way on the day of the funeral, so everything ran smoothly. The funeral was unique and individual, showcasing the life of a much loved cousin.
