We were very impressed with the funeral director Dan Barnes. He always rang when he said he would. He was very patient with us when we had to keep phoning up to check things and was very efficient in arranging everything, and with emails etc. We really appreciate all the hard work he did for us.

I can't thank Mark Chapman (and Julie) enough for their support, compassion and professionalism whilst helping me through the difficulties of arranging my late husband's funeral. Many compromises had to be overcome due to the Covid 19 situation and the help I received around this has been invaluable and although most of the arrangements had to be done via the telephone or email, I never once felt unsupported with decisions and choices which had to be to be made.

All the arrangements were dealt with very efficiently and sympathetically.  Tracey went the extra mile on several occasions. In these difficult times we were able to say goodbye to our loved one with dignity.

We are so grateful to A W Lymn for arranging my father’s funeral as sensitively and smoothly as they did.  They turned what could have been a painful memory into a truly beautiful memory, even more beautiful than my mother or myself had imagined.  Even our neighbours  who were watching have commented on how beautiful and peaceful it was.  Thank you once again.

The team in the Wollaton branch worked really hard to help me give my Mum the best send-off possible, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, for which I will be forever grateful.

They offered me advice, support and comfort at one of the most difficult times in my life in a professional but personal manner.  The staff provided me with compassion and time when I struggled to make decisions or got confused about things due to my extreme tiredness, and endeavoured to satisfy all my requests.

I felt my Mum’s physical being was treated with dignity, respect and loving care.  I felt she was safe with them and I trusted them with her.  When I went to visit my Mum in the chapel of rest there was an overwhelming sense of peace in the room.

The only reason I haven’t selected ‘Excellent’ was due to very last minute (as in within the 2 hours prior to the hearse arriving at my Mum’s bungalow) telephone calls regarding the length of the funeral service and me having to choose what to omit from the order of service in case we ran out of time.  There was also a last minute notification that I would be unable to witness the charging of the coffin - but was then fortunate enough to actually be able to do this anyway.

Overall I would highly recommend A.W.Lymn and would like to thank them for everything they have done for me and my Mum. I will be using them again for my Mum’s memorial service when the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

We found the staff at AW Lymn to be professional and helpful both prior to and during Mum's funeral ceremony. Andrew, Jane and colleagues were courteous, good humoured and respectful providing the appropriate information and details in a timely way. Mum's casket was absolutely beautiful and the flower arrangement on top was a kind and lovely touch. Thank you to everyone for making Mum's funeral poignant and tasteful. Given the difficult circumstances and restrictions in place owing to Corona virus, my family and I are grateful for the effort put in to help make the ceremony a memorable one nonetheless. I would highly recommend AW Lymn to anyone looking for a bespoke approach with those extra little touches that make all the difference on the day.

The family feel that for the service’s provided on this occasion the cost was on the high side. We were disappointed that the funeral director didn’t walk in front of the hearse at the house as is a tradition for most. The family felt it would have been better if the van the director was using on this occasion had not been in front of the cortège but following it. Lastly they felt a bit rushed at this sad time.
