It was with great sadness to hear that David, a friend of mine for over 40 years and a colleague for most of that, died on the seventh anniversary of the death of Shelagh who also worked for our family company in the latter part of her life. David always had a warm and friendly smile and I know that Dan, Kevin and all the staff IN our Derby area remember his with great fondness and were saddened by his death. We deeply regret that due to the COVID pandemic such restrictions had to be placed on the numbers attending his funeral but we will all remember him for his lovely friendly manner. Thank you on behalf of both the Lymn Rose family and the greater family of which David was a part being A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service. -

Excellent and thoughtful service from Dominic and the team throughout the process. These are really difficult times for everybody and no more so than in dealing with the passing of loved ones, given that the funeral options are limited and personal dignity is being compromised. With Dominic's help we were able to arrange a peaceful and fitting farewell for our dear mother and grandmother and for that we are very grateful. Thank you.

I had to organize my mum’s funeral at a distance during lockdown here in Italy and I couldn’t have wished for a kinder or more sympathetic person than Karen. Punctual and understanding in the telephone appointments at a really difficult time for everyone.
She guided me through each phase and provided all the necessary information for florist etc.

From the moment my mum passed away they were there ready to collect her from the nursing home, and all the way through Tina who works at the Long Eaton branch has been compassionate and thorough. Will always use A.W Lymn.

Lymns were excellent. At a time when our family were grieving and finding things hard they were there for us and supported us. To add to the stress we were all on lock down because of Covid 19, Lymns coped with daily changes to guidance and kept us informed. They were professional but also sensative and appreciative to our needs. My Dad had the send off he wanted, driving past his flat for the last time with dignity and respect. We can't thank Lymns enough.

In these difficult circumstances with not only having to deal with a member of the family passing, but the Coronavirus also making everything much more of a strain for everyone.
I found Andrew at West Bridgford to be very helpful and easy to talk to about all aspects in these difficult times.
If you find yourself in need of a Funeral Directors I would highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about A.W. Lymn Clifton. My aunt passed away in February, and we had to plan her funeral long distance since we live in Canada. Joanna at the office in Clifton was nothing short of incredible in her work on our behalf, walking me through what needed to be done, and how to do it. When our trip to England to attend the funeral had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she was so supportive and went above and beyond the call of duty. Her thoughtfulness, encouragement and commitment to making sure that my aunt was given the best 'goodbye' meant so much to us. Diane, who officiated at the funeral was wonderful, and delivered a truly special service. We are so grateful to A.W. Lymn Clifton for being there for our aunt when we couldn't. Thank you!

Both Diane and I really felt for you and it was a pleasure to be able to work together to try to give your Aunt the funeral you had so wanted for her. Was very disappointed when visiting my mum in the chapel of rest. Her hair had not been done and she was dressed incorrectly. This was upsetting as mum hair a clothes were part of who she was. Also she was laid on her side. On the day they were very good considering we could only have burial due to virus. I have used Lymns in the past but might try elsewhere in the future as I was so upset about mum's appearance .

I am very sorry that you were disappointed with the presentation of your mum when you visited her at our funeral home. It is extremely difficult for us to always style the hair in the way that someone did in life, even if we are presented with a photograph. It is such a shame when this happens as inevitably, when someone is seen in their coffin, they are not animated in the way that they had always been and therefore slight differences in the make-up and hair are more noticeable than they otherwise would have been. I am only grateful that everything was perfect on the day of the funeral and do hope that over time you will be able to remember this rather than your last visit to see mum. Thank you and again I apologise. -

Absolutely fantastic. So caring, helpful and kind. We were given daily updates on the current situation and although we could only have family attend Louise Cook still made it special going that extra mile to keep us all fully informed. Shes a star.
