About Us
Although A W Lymn's head office moved to Robin Hood House on Robin Hood Street in 1977, many people in the area still refer to this office as "Lymn's on Bath Street".
The head office, built by fourth generation George Rose in the late 1970's, has several in-house funeral directors to help families with their funeral needs, and also houses most of the company's administration staff.
The funeral home is staffed by Funeral Directors Kevin Browne, Paul Richardson and Philip Wilson, Office Manager and Funeral Arranger Joyce Farrell, Funeral Arranger Megan Rosier and Receptionist Lucinda Pallett.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12.30pm. Staff are also available to meet with you outside of office hours at a mutually convenient time. Please call the telephone number at any time to arrange a convenient appointment.
Besides the administration and reception area, the premises have a coffin showroom, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, a full fleet of hearses and limousines, a vintage fleet, stone masonry services and a florist.
A.W. Lymn's head office serves all of Nottingham city centre and its surrounding areas including Bobbers Mill, Colwick, Hyson Green, Mapperley, Radford, Sherwood, Sneinton, St. Ann's, The Meadows and beyond.
A W Lymn is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel Lymn Rose, one of the company's directors, was president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) during its centenary year in 2005.

We would like to sincerely thank A.W. Lymn for the care, compassion and professionalism shown to our family at such a difficult time following the passing of Carrie.
Paul Richardson and Lucinda Pallett were exceptional throughout the arrangements, guiding myself and Carrie’s mum with kindness, understanding and patience. Their knowledge and connection with Gedling Crematorium were also a great help and gave us reassurance at a very difficult time.
The cars and drivers arranged for the day were excellent, and we would like to thank all the drivers for taking such great care of our family, from the chapel through to the wake.
We would also like to thank Lone and Kayleigh from the Lymn Florist. They listened carefully to everything we wanted and created the most beautiful flowers, exactly as we had hoped.
Every part of the service was handled with dignity, care and attention to detail. We will always be grateful to everyone at A.W. Lymn for helping us give Carrie the beautiful and fitting farewell she deserved.

After a slight hiccup at the start of making the funeral arrangements, Lymns responded immediately and fully addressed our concerns. From that point on, everything was 100% and the arrangements and funeral were everything we expected and did our Mum proud. I can fully recommend Lymn's to anyone.

Everyone was so kind and thoughtful. The funeral was conducted in a very

Every attendee of my mums funeral thought it was a fitting tribute to my mother and thought the content described her perfectly and the celebrant Malcolm was excellent. That’s all I hoped for when choosing Lymns to deal with my mums welfare in her final moments. Everyone I dealt with from Deanna, Malcolm, Philip and Lucinda on reception were professional and showed so much respect to my late mum. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose them to handle any future bereavement in my family and that’s the biggest compliment I can pay them.
