J G Fielder & Son are outstanding.   JGF have well over 100 years of experience and it shows.   They really appreciate the emotional turmoil which comes with bereavement.    I never felt in any way pressured to make the necessary decisions at such a stressful time: rather I was guided through the process with kindness and empathy.   I contacted Victor Fielder initially, who later directed the funeral with quiet efficiency.    Jon Kirkman was very capable and helpful at our meeting and always prompt with emails and phone calls.    Also, Helen McCabe was so warm and friendly whenever I called the York office.   Thank you all.

Fortunately my late Mother had prepared a funeral plan and had nominated Fielders to be the Funeral Directors. So very pleased that she recommended them. From attending initial meeting and meeting Jon from Fielders, I was immediately put at ease as had been very nervous about the whole thing. Jon discussed the day in detail and any thought or concerns we may have. He contacted a local retired Vicar who came round to my house and discussed everything down to the last detail in relation to the plan. On the day Fielders were timely and arrived at Mam's address and took myself and family members to the crematorium. Afterwards very comforting words from Jon to me who led the Team offering any further help and support. Brilliant, Professional and caring.

The customer service received from initial telephone through to funeral service was excellent. The staff at Fielders showed the utmost empathy whilst helping me to plan my brothers funeral, and made what would have been a daunting task easier for me. Simon who was the funeral director guided me through every stage of planning and showed an eye for detail with every aspect of my brothers funeral. When I had to phone the office the service received from Helen was extremely helpful and put me at ease. From start to finish the customer service our family received was excellent, resulting in an amazing send off for our brother.
