Simon and the J G Fielder & Son team were excellent for my Dad's funeral, from the first meeting, through the Chapel of Rest and the day itself - their attention to detail and personal apporach was very comforting at a difficult time for the family. They ensured the day ran smoothly and we can not thank them enough.

I have nothing but praise for Feilder and Sons, as I am 400miles away from York in Falmouth, Cornwall I had to rely heavily upon them and I'm pleased to say I arrived in York the evening before the cremation and only met face to face the following day. Everything went smoothly and I thank all concerned.

I would like to offer some constructive criticism but I cannot think of any aspect of the service which could have been done better. The level of service provided by Fielder(and in particular by Simon Aston) was excellent from the making of the first telephone enquiry to been dropped off at the venue where the post funeral service reception was held

Thank you for the wonderful caring way you handled our father's funeral ..From the first meeting until after the funeral you were all so kind compassionate and professional and looked after us all wonderfully .You arranged our late mums funeral in 2011 and we were so pleased you were also able to do our dad's funeral as knew you would handle everything with us not having to worry about anything .. From the beginning to the end of the difficult process of arranging and carrying out the funeral of my step mum, Frances Barker, Chris Fielder, of J.G. Fielder and son, was always helpful, considerate and showed great compassion. He made sure that everything and all our needs were catered for, and went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly. He and the office staff were always sympathetic and understanding when I contacted them. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

A sincere ‘thank you’ for all your arrangements and although they are very sad occasions, we as a family feel we said our ‘God bye’ with your help in a real way.

The arrangements and the address by Michael Sargent were very moving and much appreciated.

There was a large gathering which reflected Sheila’s standing in the family and community in general.

Simon, Helen, John and team were excellent in the way the sad time was discussed and handled. The discussed all the options with great sensitivity and on they day they wore light blue ties to match all the mourners and conducted all with great sensitivity.

All that we wished for was provided promptly and accurately without fuss, from the printing of orders of service, the music at the crematorium and the funeral cars as requested. Also, and not least, the liaising with the minister at the Church. Very many thanks.

Chris Fielder provided an excellent personal service from beginning to end and did so in a caring and professional manner without being overly sombre at an obviously difficult time for myself and children on the passing of my wife. All matters were taken over competently and in a timely manner and nothing felt like it was too much trouble.
I was impressed with Fielders as a whole from the reception we received as soon as we walked through the door on the first day. This is an excellent family run firm clearly very competent in their field, providing a very high level of customer service that is very hard to match these days and for what I consider a fair price. I will have no hesitation in using them again.

The whole family are grateful for the way in which everything was handled with courtesy, sympathy and understanding.
The whole occasion went well due to the well organised and polite way in which all proceedings were carried out and dealt with. 




From a personal point of view I was impressed by the manner of dealing with my family in making them feel at ease and reducing the worries and anxiety they could have felt. 
On what was a sad occasion it was gratifying to know that things were being dealt with in such a sympathetic way.




Please extend my sincere thanks to all your staff including those behind the scenes who we never met but obviously helped make the day what it was.
