Dave's funeral was very personal ,he enjoyed his allotment, breeding birds & worked unloading lorries,this is why we hired the truck, had veg wreaths instead of flower. From the moment Dave was taken from home by AWLymn is knew Dave was in safe hands, we met Stacey to arrange the funeral & she was very knowledgeable but sympathetic. Johnathon was fabulous on the day, he was respectful, professional & friendly. Losing someone close is very hard for everyone involved but AWLymn made it so easy & undaunting. This is the first funeral I have had to organise & I was anxious but there was no need to be ,everything was perfect.

Having no experience of having to arrange a funeral, from the very first phone call with funeral director Luke, we were put at ease. Luke managed everything from the cars, the visits, to the many changes to the order of service. Nothing was too much trouble.

Thanks to Philip, Deanna, Lucinda, and in particular Luke, who even attended on the day of the funeral at our request.

Charis, Tony Mills, and all the staff at A W Lymn were extremely thoughtful and handled every aspect of my Dad's funeral preparations meticulously and expertly--from the day he passed away and his body had to be collected from his nursing home to the funeral itself, and their post-funeral dealings with us. All their dealings were full of sensitivity and courtesy, so much so that it was a strikingly different customer service experience to what can generally be expected in the world nowadays.

There was some miscommunication between A W Lymn and Gedling Crematorium regarding the time available for the service. A W Lymn told us that the whole hour 11:00-12:00 was ours to include about 10 minutes for setting up, the service itself, and from 11:50 for mourners to leave the chapel or remain to watch the charging of the coffin. However, in the middle of the service I was approached by one of the crematorium attendants and advised to speed up or we wouldn't have time to play the last two pieces of music and wouldn't be finished on time. I told her we were right on schedule to leave the chapel or watch the charging of the coffin at 11:50, and then she told me we actually needed to leave the chapel earlier than 11:50. Even now I don't know what time they expected us to end. I was anxious and lost track of the time after that. We had to just rush, and that was not a good experience, but it didn't spoil the service. One other thing was that the chapel displayed a different backdrop from the one I'd selected via A W Lymn. I'd asked for the waterfall backdrop and they used something else. When I brought this to the attendant's attention, she corrected it about 15 minutes into the service.

We appreciated the excellent service provided at a very difficult time. Michelle was caring, compassionate and went out her way to be helpful with the funeral arrangements. Tracey Matthews, the Celebrant delivered a thoughtful service including everything we'd asked for. The whole team were supportive, professional and respectful and we would highly recommend them.
