Who shops for a funeral before the event? Gillotts we’re excellent from start to finish, supporting myself and my daughter for the arrangements for my husband I cannot fault any of the team at Stapleford branch they were all excellent and went above and beyond to make sure everything went according to plan and lightening the load were they could. I cannot recommend them highly enough. As I said no one knows where to start when faced with a bereavement wether it’s expected or not, and therefore no one recommends a funeral director- let me be the first!

Steve’s funeral was everything we hoped it would be to celebrate his life. Right from the very first phone call the staff were marvellous and so helpful with everything. The arrangements they made were excellent and the man they recommended for the service just perfect, thank you.

Anthony and the team at Gillotts were so caring ,kind and nothing was too much  for them to do for us on the death of my Husband Alan you are not treated has a customer they treat you has a friend with their caring touch which really helps you to get through the sadness of losing    your loved one  and they are with you right up to the moment you have to say goodbye at the funeral with their kindness and thoughtfulness to me and my family   they are truly the very best my family have used them many times and each time they have really been there for us nothing was too much to ask for and I would definitely recommend them to my friends

Jodie was excellent, talked me through every step as it was the first funeral I had arranged, she was very caring, listened to my thoughts and it was like talking to a friend rather than a funeral director, can’t praise her enough.

Gillotts at Heanor, what can we say; they make the most difficult time easier, they are supportive, caring, understanding and just so attentive. Nothing is too much trouble, they create a relationship with the family and ensure that everything you want is there - they are there. The planning and preparation during this time is like no other yet you are allowed to mourn and grieve because Gillott’s take care of the things your head cannot comprehend and doesn’t have space for. From beginning to end they are faultless; the day is a celebration of life because Gillott’s listen and make sure the day is all about the deceased and the family left behind. Every decision and detail checked, it’s as if they know what you want even when you’re not sure yourself, they offer options, suggestions and are a guide but it all is made to your wanting - it is personal, it is important and it is done with the most care from the most amazing staff.  We cannot thank them enough.

From the moment that I went through the door to make an enquiry, ALL their staff were courteous, kind and understanding. When we had made the decision to go with them, we were made to feel cared for, and nothing that we asked for was too much trouble. They were understanding about our concerns and towards the funeral date itself we felt that they were there just to accommodate our every wish. Their treatment of Dad was second to none, and on the day itself, they were discretion itself. They will be our future choice if ever we have the need....not too soon I hope.
