As a family we want to say we were treated with care and compassion from the beginning to the end. Joanne explained in detail what would happen and what we needed to do. Everything was perfect for us to say our goodbyes. We cannot thank you enough and we would highly recommend your service. Thankyou from us all.

Not having done this before, and not having any clear preference of funeral directors, my two siblings and I sat down with Joanne for an informal chat at the Eastwood office.

Immediately we were impressed with her calm professionalism, clearly explaining our options and pricing. There was no pressure or pushiness and we never felt patronised ……. so we decided that Gillotts would be the right choice for us.

Throughout the whole process, Joanne, Alison and staff simply took all of the organisation & logistics away from us, just gently nudging us occasionally when they needed our input.

On the day itself, at the church service and the crematorium, the day unfolded and proceeded like clockwork. All of the Gillotts staff conducted themselves with the utmost respect and dignity, taking away all of the pressure from ourselves. We just needed to be there and to deal with our own emotions in our own way as we said cheerio to mum. 
On behalf of the family I would like to pass on my sincere gratitude to Joanne and all of the staff.

Our beloved Dad passed away at Christmas after a terrible illness which was incredibly traumatic for our family. Dad was treated with care, dignity and respect from the outset. Gillots were thorough, thoughtful, and compassionate and set our expectations along the way. They really helped to set our minds at ease. Claire was amazing, very patient and understanding and made some much appreciated suggestions and tweaks along the way and was always very respectful of our opinions and wishes. The celebrant chosen (Josh Wood) was also incredible with such attention to detail and again very patient and thoughtful. The funeral itself was respectful and dignified and I have the peace of mind that Dad was given the best possible send off and would have been proud as he hadn't expressed his wishes. At such an upsetting time we felt extremely supported. I can't recommend Gillots highly enough.

I never would have thought that strangers could become almost good friends in a short period of time. The guys here are amazing and nothing is too much and nothing is a silly idea. They are compassionate as well as giving a real human touch in such a difficult time.
