I recently lost both of my parents within 3 months of each other. The team at the Heanor branch were absolutely fantastic, very caring, respectful and nothing was too much trouble. They carried out the funerals for both of my parents, and I cannot praise them highly enough for the care they showed to both my parents and all of our family during what was a very difficult time.

I found gillots very accomodating and approachable as we arrangdd Anns funeral. Things got complicated when the daughters turned up after 10 years. It could have got very difficult but thanks to Anthony and the team we where able to throw oil on troubled waters and peace was most important.As a palliagive care nurse i have experienced many dificult situations but with common sense and understanding it usually wins the day.

We cannot speak highly enough of Gillotts Funeral Directors in Stapleford who we contacted when my Dad passed away. Right from the first phone call staff were helpful and informative. Hannah at Stapleford in particular was so kind and caring and guided us through the whole process beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble and Hannah was literally there for us every step of the way making sure everything was just as we wanted it to be. She organised for Dad to be transferred from the hospital into their care at the Chapel of Rest, booked the Crematorium, put us in contact with a celebrant to conduct the funeral service and even created a beautiful visual tribute by setting some photos of Dad to a piece of his favourite music. We went to see Dad in the Chapel of Rest several times and never felt rushed. This gave us time to say our final goodbyes and helped us come to terms with his passing. On the day of Dads funeral Danni from Stapleford was there making sure that everything went to plan and I have to say we really felt it was perfect. We were in such good hands with Hannah and Danni and cannot thank them enough for everything they did for our family at such a sad and difficult time.

The funeral was beautifully organised. The staff were very helpful and supportive at every stage and all details and costs were fully explained. I didn't have to worry about anything. The website was very good and it was very helpful to use the music library to choose music for the ceremony.
