Never something you expect to have to do when your wife is only 58 years old this was the hardest thing I have ever done but I must say Helen Ellis at Heanor Gillotts Funeral Directors was absolutely fantastic from the very first meeting. Such a compassionate understanding lady who made this whole painful experience as easy as she could do which was of great benefit and comfort to myself and my two children. I cannot recommend this lady highly enough and the service by Gillotts on the day was exceptional.

Anthony and his colleagues have been absolutely wonderful with all aspects of Mums funeral before and after, and with my dear Father almost 3 years ago. Their professionalism at a time whilst grieving  was comforting and second to none.

A lovely service to celebrate the life of my mother of 100 years. The order of service was beautifully printed and the visual tribute was well put together.  We were treated with kindness and sympathy at all times. 
Our celebrant was Drew Baxter who gave a great testimony regarding mums life. 
I found Gillots to be extremely professional at all times

All the staff from Gillotts were exceptionally professional in all aspects of arranging my Dads funeral. From talking us through the various packages they offered through to the day of his cremation. They were very accommodating and took great care not to upset family giving us time to consider all our options. The celebrant they chose for us was also exceptionally good and captured the main aspects of Dads life when delivering his eulogy.
We were all very impressed with the service given and would highly recommend them.

I would thoroughly recommend Gillotts Funeral Directors; Claire was very professional but at the same time empathic; helping mum to choose  a keepsake finger print piece of jewellery. Claire was transparent , explaining dad’s unattended cremation, but also offering a favourite tune of dad’s to be played as recognition of the person.

Really helpful and efficient, explained everything as we had never had to organise a funeral before, there was no extra costs it was all calculated accurately on the estimate. It’s Family run and they really make you feel calm and welcoming, would highly recommend Alison and Joanne were amazing !! Thank you so much
