Thank you to Mark at HC Grimstead for supporting us during the difficult process of arranging my dad's funeral. Dad had a prepaid funeral plan but we did want to add some extras in. Mark was so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. On the day of the funeral, Catherine and her colleagues were consummate professionals and everyone commented on the great respect they showed. The day was perfect, we gave an incredibly special man the send-off he deserved. Thank you

Janet and the wider team we interacted with have been brilliant in what has been the most difficult time of our lives.

Compassionate yet practical, always giving us the time we needed to process and get the arrangements perfect. 

We are forever grateful as we move to the next stage of interring my Dad’s ashes.

Throughout a very difficult time, Taylor Jade and the Co-Op team were very supportive and caring and dealt with every detail in such a personable way. The compassion and care they showed was truly amazing and nothing was to much hassle. The way they cared and made sure that the day run smoothly but also being a huge support to myself and my family with that personal touch was truly appreciated. I could not recommend them enough to anyone, huge thank you Co-Op team

Very poor customer service no updates about what was happening unless we called and it was always we were going to call. Waiting for ashes was told they were ready when we called and some one would call as back no one did called again two weeks later only able to leave message did get call back from central office to be told ashes had only just arrived contradictory to what we had previously been told arranged a collection time and was told local office would call guess what they never did.  Also after my first visit started to receive phone calls from co-op central team offering other services.  When I complained to local office saying I had not consented had not signed anything how had they got my details was told a lot of people complained about this but my details must have been passed on by the local office without my knowledge or consent.  Very dissatisfied with the service provided.  Especially compared with company used last year for my mother when we were informed all along about what was happening and when it had happened.  Take it the co-op no frills service is definitely no frills especially when you lack the funds to do something different

the staff at brethertons , mckenna funerals were so helpfull from from start to finish. i would recommend them to anyone. they helped us with arrange everthing. nothing was to much trouble. would to thank jane who really looked afer us. thank you mckennas

I honestly can't fault Fleur, Wai & Amanda's care and service they provided to me, following the death of my mum. I can't imagine the variety of people they must meet in their most despairing times, but they absolutely "got me" from the start, and we even managed to enjoy some comedy moments. They were respectful, considerate, empathetic, helpful and knowledgeable amongst a host of other qualities. Put it this way, if I die, I'd want them to be taking care of my final stages.

Whilst planning the funeral, the team at the co-op were very helpful. They kept me informed of progress throughout the process and responded to calls and emails in good time. The funeral went as planned and everybody was so helpful during this sad and stressful time.

Cristina provided an exceptional response to us at a very difficult time. When other local firms said it was out of the question to arrange a funeral at such short notice she had a completely "can do" attitude to make it work. Olha's daughter and all of us supporting her were enormously grateful for this positive approach and the entirely satisfactory conduct of the ceremony.
In addition I believe the charges were lower than some other firms (though we did not seek comparisons) which was a help as Olha and her daughter (both living in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine scheme) had very limited savings.

The team at Hexham Cooperative Funeral Care did an excellent job in organising the funeral for my late father. Everything was clear, and collaborative and done with respect and sensitivity.
