The loss of one's Mum at anytime of the year is extremely upsetting & to loose them 10 days before Christmas was extra difficult for myself, my brother, friends & family.

I wish to thank John Weir for the warm & comforting support given to myself & family at what was a very difficult time in Dec 2025. Everything about the arrangements was explained clearly & the preferences of myself & brother fully respected.

I wish to personally thank Anna for her warm & friendly manner, & natural ability to put one at ease when dealing with the upset of loosing someone close.

This is the second time I have used John Weir in two years & I chose them again as I had such a professional experience when they handled my father's funeral back in May 2024, when once again Anna showed so much kindness, dignity & support.

Based on my experience, I would say you could not be in safer hands & thoroughly recommend their services.

absolute professionals from start to service and after, at such a sad time John Weir have been so kind, and have continued to adapt to my changing wishes/requests, They have provided care for mum whilst she was with them and at the service, I really can not say enough about such a caring, supportive and professional company, on behalf of my family and myself I would not hesitate to use there service again in the future

We used John Weir for our daughter's cremation and dealt mainly with Emma at the Parkwood Branch. She was so kind, helpful and compassionate. She provided all the information we needed and we felt held and supported throughout the worst journey we, as a family, have ever had to deal with. She was at the end of the phone if we needed her and she responded quickly.

Thanks also to the team of drivers who looked after us on the day... they ensured everything ran smoothly.

My family lost my wonderful mum Carol Binfield on the 8-11-25. We chose John Weir to look after her.
Everyone was kind, compassionate, respectful and understanding. They gave advice but listened when we decided against their advice. They called just to check on how we were doing and kept us informed of everything throughout.
Thank you to the whole team but mostly to Kerry who dealt with my mums funeral, Anna who took many of my calls, the drivers on the day of the funeral (30-12-25) you all helped at such a difficult time in our lives.

Staff are excellent and give all the support you need at this sad time. Clear guidance is provided as to the funeral requirements taking into account all the family requests. The staff for the actual funeral service were wonderful and took care of us through the whole event. Can't thank them enough for the way they helped us through the whole process, from picking mum up, to guiding us through the funeral service itself.

John Weir provided excellent support throughout. Even calling up my parents incompetent GP surgery who failed to process the paperwork after my mother died at home. 
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Gillingham branch. Deana was very empathetic and we were looked after by Kevin on the day.
