Thornalley have now dealt with the funerals of all four of our respective parents, two during pre-COVID days, and two during the Pandemic itself. When the last two died, within 3 weeks of each other, we did not hesitate to contact them. Once again we were met with care and professionalism by the whole team. When things went wrong, such as when a wedding ring went missing at the hospital mortuary and when the Crematorium had a power cut on the day of one of the funerals, we were met with calm and an attitude of “leave it to us – we’ll sort this for you”. Each funeral was handled to reflect the individual – we did not feel they (or we) were “turning the handle” for yet another elderly person. We never felt as if we were bothering them with detail and indeed always came away feeling that now we had LESS to worry about and could therefore focus our thoughts on our loved one. As a family firm they understand families, and although we as individuals did the interfacing with them, they took account of the feelings and needs of other members of the wider family. We cannot recommend Thornalley enough!
