We have the utmost praise for the team of staff at Lymn's. We were listened to as a family and all requests were attended to. Kirby has a professionalism that doesn't override the human nature of what is being done for the deceased and the living family, right down to the careful language used in all conversations. The Wollaton branch originally belonged to the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service before being incorporated into the A W Lymn group in 2003. The funeral home was formerly based on Arleston Drive in Wollaton, but was moved in late July 2014 to a purposed designed site on Wollaton Road called Deer Park House.
The new premises has off-street car parking and a beautiful visitation room with its own private waiting area.
The office was formerly a police station and features a large, bright, modern client reception, as well as state-of-the-art rooms.
The office is run by Funeral Director Kirby Cranshaw with the help of Funeral Arranger Skye Parton-Buckeridge.
The funeral home is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also make an appointment to see someone after hours via the telephone number.
The branch covers all of Wollaton and its surroundings including Bilborough, Bramcote, Nuthall, Strelley, Trowell, Watnall and beyond.
A.W.Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed and owned by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose are the directors of the company.

Everyone was so lovely especially Skye who guided me through what was a difficult time with professionalism and care. The service was outstanding and everyone treated us with dignity but with a smile too. The whole event couldn’t have been better and everyone who attended felt so too. My mum would’ve loved it.

My sister and I could not have asked for a more caring, respectfully thorough and kind person than Skye O'Neill at Wollaton, to support us mentally and emotionally whilst guiding us through the Funeral processes for our Mother.
Skye moved mountains and helped us bridge administrative chasms, supported by her manager, and managed to book and organise a Hindu cremation service a week to the day of Mummy's passing.
Everyone else involved at A W Lymn also enabled this expedited service, and they all also have our own and our families' grateful thanks.

The funeral directors were recommended by neighbours and were friendly and professional. There were some last minute changes but on the whole these were substitutions for the better and made a difficult day easier to navigate.
My Mum had been clear on the Order of Service she wanted and we were able to fulfill her wishes and likewise with the scattering of her ashes.
I would recommend A W Lymm as a supportive service during an heightened emotional experience.
