Nothing can prepare you a loss of your close relative, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister etc. Following a loss of my wife, Debra, it was extremely difficult to focus on the funeral arrangements whilst grieving let alone being the first experience organising it. I’m grateful for A.W. Lymn, Wollaton who provided an excellent professional and friendly service, guiding us through every process from initial preparations all the way through the church service, crematorium and the wake. They truly took the burden off our shoulders and provided a fantastic service echoed by majority who attended. The services we received from Skye and Phil were exceptionally great and a big thank you to you both. Your services are highly recommended.
The Wollaton branch originally belonged to the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service before being incorporated into the A W Lymn group in 2003. The funeral home was formerly based on Arleston Drive in Wollaton, but was moved in late July 2014 to a purposed designed site on Wollaton Road called Deer Park House.
The new premises has off-street car parking and a beautiful visitation room with its own private waiting area.
The office was formerly a police station and features a large, bright, modern client reception, as well as state-of-the-art rooms.
The office is run by Funeral Director Kirby Cranshaw with the help of Funeral Arranger Skye Parton-Buckeridge.
The funeral home is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also make an appointment to see someone after hours via the telephone number.
The branch covers all of Wollaton and its surroundings including Bilborough, Bramcote, Nuthall, Strelley, Trowell, Watnall and beyond.
A.W.Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed and owned by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose are the directors of the company.

Kirby and the team at Lymn Wollaton handled our arrangements in a very professional and sensitive fashion. They listened to our wishes and responded positively to some of our unusual requests. The choice of Column as celebrant was perfect for us and his organisation impeccable. Overall we felt very well looked after in our time of need.

A Funeral is never welcome but this one was the nicest I have ever attended. The whole process especially Skye’s input throughout was absolutely seamless and sensitively handled. The Funeral itself was actually beautiful and again perfect in all respects. The whole team and the Celebrant were impeccable and the whole thing was absolutely as I wanted.
Hopefully I will never be involved in arranging another funeral but would certainly go to the same place should one be needed.

My family and I would like to thank everyone who helped to organise and carry out the funeral of Geoffrey Smith.
We were first introduced to Skye, who helped us with the majority of planning, ensuring that everything ran smoothly.
Colum then came to visit us to discuss the funeral service at the crematorium. He made sure that the service was just as we wished it to be and helped us with choosing a reading as well as offering good advice to my grandson who was delivering the eulogy.
On the day of the viewing, we were all emotional and Skye made us feel at ease and handled the situation extremely professionally.
On the day of the funeral Mr Nigel Lynn led the transport of my late husband and his family to the crematorium showing us all such great respect.
Nigel’s presence was most appreciated.
We were all guided most sympathetically throughout the morning, and were very well cared for.
We can’t thank you all enough for making our final goodbyes to Geoff a beautiful day in his memory.
We can’t praise your services highly enough.
