We would like to express our thanks to the staff at Lymns of Wollaton who helped and guided us to make Dad’s funeral as easy as it could be. Nicki, the drivers and accompanying staff could not have been more considerate and dignified and put us all at ease. We are very grateful.
The family of Peter Stainwright
The Wollaton branch originally belonged to the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service before being incorporated into the A W Lymn group in 2003. The funeral home was formerly based on Arleston Drive in Wollaton, but was moved in late July 2014 to a purposed designed site on Wollaton Road called Deer Park House.
The new premises has off-street car parking and a beautiful visitation room with its own private waiting area.
The office was formerly a police station and features a large, bright, modern client reception, as well as state-of-the-art rooms.
The office is run by Funeral Director Kirby Cranshaw with the help of Funeral Arranger Skye Parton-Buckeridge.
The funeral home is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also make an appointment to see someone after hours via the telephone number.
The branch covers all of Wollaton and its surroundings including Bilborough, Bramcote, Nuthall, Strelley, Trowell, Watnall and beyond.
A.W.Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed and owned by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose are the directors of the company.

From the first time we met Nicola to all our meetings with Richard every thing concerning my husband,Ian Longson ‘s funeral was handled in a kind yet extremely professional manner. Nicola and the team at Wollaton were exceptionally helpful, empathetic and kind in all they did for our family at all times during the organising of the funeral. On the day Julie or Jules ensured the family were comfortable and directed the event in a professional but friendly manner. It all went very smoothly and so my sister had a very good send off which was important to us.

It was an incredibly difficult time for us as a family.Jackie managed everything sensitively and professionally from Family viewing at the funeral home, funeral service and and the release of white doves at the crematorium.
A coffin that was specially made within a short time was impeccable. If there is any comfort or solace from our huge loss, it would be that LYMN’s funeral service played a major role in our daughters final journey to enable us to cherish our daughters fond memories.
