The Wollaton branch originally belonged to the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service before being incorporated into the A W Lymn group in 2003. The funeral home was formerly based on Arleston Drive in Wollaton, but was moved in late July 2014 to a purposed designed site on Wollaton Road called Deer Park House.
The new premises has off-street car parking and a beautiful visitation room with its own private waiting area.
The office was formerly a police station and features a large, bright, modern client reception, as well as state-of-the-art rooms.
The office is run by Funeral Director Kirby Cranshaw with the help of Funeral Arranger Sky O’Neill.
The funeral home is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also make an appointment to see someone after hours via the telephone number.
The branch covers all of Wollaton and its surroundings including Bilborough, Bramcote, Nuthall, Strelley, Trowell, Watnall and beyond.
A.W.Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed and owned by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose are the directors of the company.

I want to say a huge thank you to Alan and Julia at the Wollaton branch. I was treated with compassion and kindness and they made a sad and difficult time bearable for me and all the family. The funeral was professional, dignified and incredibly well run with a large helping of human kindness. We had the funeral on a Saturday and viewing of mum specially arranged for Saturday morning to accommodate relatives flying in from Ireland. Nothing was too much trouble and I am so very grateful. Thank you again.

The whole experience from the start of organising to the funeral itself was seamless with great attention to detail. We were guided along every step of the way by Alan Matthews with his obvious expertise. The funeral director on the day, Julia, was perfect as was our driver and other staff in attendance.

They made the best of a bad day, this was the second funeral they have conducted for us in 5 months so that speaks for itself.

The most important thing was that everything was absolutely right on the day , when Julia Carty handled everything impeccably, including the Rolls Royce on our return from the crematorium. There were one or two superficial misunderstandings during the days before our mother's funeral, but the head office systems and supervision must have all worked very well.

We cannot fault the excellent personal service, advice and help given to the family in planning Stephen`s funeral at such a difficult time. The promptness in changing things at our request, communication and keeping us up to date with the arrangements being made on our behalf, was really good. On the day of the funeral, we were given time and not rushed when getting in and out of the funeral cars. After the lovely, sensitively led service, we had time to speak to people. The day went so smoothly and nearly everyone who attended the funeral sent messages later, with really positive comments. Thank you.

The services of A. W. LYMM at Malcolm Billington's funeral was of the highest quality, although the pall bearers struggled a little with Malcolm being such a big chap, but all in all the treatment of the mourners by the staff was very good.
