Very sensitive to our personal wishes and explained the procedures in detail with no pressure to make an immediate decision. There were good communications and the entire process was exemplary and family orientated. We were treated with dignity and respect. We would like to say a special thanks to Ellie and the celebrant Val who we would highly recommend . She displayed compassion and was very thoughtful prior to, during and after the service for Barbara. Kind regards Clifford and family
St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.
A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed by Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose, who are keeping the family tradition in providing the best service for bereaved families since 1907.

Nothing was too much trouble. Every representative of A W Lymn treated us with kindness and the utmost professionalism. The service was incredibly efficient and I have no hesitation in recommending them

Everything was done as requested. Requirements were double checked in plenty of time for changes to be made if required. I was always kept fully informed. The staff could not have been better, and made the whole process seem easy. A big thank you to them all for both my Mothers funeral and the Fathers four years ago

They listened to our requirements, made suggestions where necessary & provided everything in a short space of time. I would thoroughly recommend them for all your funeral needs. At a time when we were still reeling from the loss of our precious Mother, Ellie looked after us as a family and also took responsibility for all the arrangements on the days leading up to the funeral and also on the day of the funeral . I cannot fault the service which I received.
It's difficult to know where to start in recording my appreciation...
I greatly valued the opportunity to visit the peaceful Chapel of Rest...
The funeral itself ran perfectly, and seemingly effortlessly. The organisation was excellent throughout. The accoutrements - e.g. coffin, flowers, Order of Services - were perfect and beautiful. The advice about such matters as the choice of Celebrant and the location of the Wake was invaluable, and exactly right.
But equally as important as the efficiency and professionalism of all involved was, and is, the unfailing kindness, sensitivity and courtesy of staff, who made an intolerable situation bearable.

It was a privilege to be asked to be involved in Bobâs funeral. It is approaching 40 years since he worked for our family company and I can still think of a few stories and anecdotes which appear, from what was said in the service, to be typical of Bob. From start to finish everyone at A.W. Lymns, and the Celebrant Victoria Corder, were friendly, helpful, sympathetic and professional. Everything was organised with the minimum or fuss following all our wishes, and the service was a beautiful moving celebration of my wife's life. We were very impressed with the way in which AW
Lymn handled my father's funeral. The approach was personal and kind but completely professional too. We felt that they would completely support the choices we made about the funeral without any pressure to purchase 'extras'. There was complete transparency about costs. On the day, the funeral director was most sympathetic and kind, immediately agreeing to postpone the start of the ceremony until the arrival of my father's only surviving brother, who had been stuck in traffic. With the help of Ellie and her team at AW Lymn, we were able to give my father a simple, beautiful and heartfelt farewell.

I cannot praise the staff at A W Lymns (Arnold) enough. They were supportive, caring, professional and bent over backwards to ensure our wishes were carried through.
