St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.
A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed by Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose, who are keeping the family tradition in providing the best service for bereaved families since 1907.

Everyone was very good & helpful & kind the funeral all went to plan & it was a beautiful service. My only niggle was I would have liked some more deeper blue in the wreath.

We are however sorry that you were a little disappointed with the colour of the tribute. Unfortunately blue is quite a difficult colour to incorporate in flowers as there are only a limited selection that are naturally blue in colour. We acknowledge that the delphinium used on this occasion was pale rather than deep blue and apologise if this was not as you had hoped.

We would like to put on record how excellent the service was at A W Lymn of Arnold, we couldn't really have asked for more. As you are aware at such a sad time of losing one's brother you have so much on your mind and we found that all the staff put our minds at rest, they explained and helped us immensely from beginning to the actual service. On the previous day to the funeral, Russell telephoned us at home to tell us how things would proceed and we were very grateful to him, nothing was left to chance. The day we never wanted to come - the burial of our beloved mum. Lymn's made the whole day very special & very personal. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I couldn't have received better kindness, care and efficiency on behalf of Mrs Wilson ( Shelagh) from a fantastic team had she been a superstar. Which to me she was. Everyone, without exception, said what a beautiful send-off we gave her and Glyn, in the streaming of the service, said "what a lovely, lovely service." Thank you all most gratefully for kindly making the memories of Shelagh so fitting.

While it seems somewhat strange leaving a review of such a sad occasion, on behalf of myself and my family I’d like to say how pleased we were with the service we received from Lymn’s.
From our initial meeting with Ellie, who put us at ease with everything that needed to be arranged, through to our regular contact with Beryl, who had a kind and compassionate nature about her. And then finally on the day of the funeral, Mark (I believe that was his name) who was absolutely fantastic with making sure everything ran smoothly on the day, he was faultless, and I’m so glad we had him there to look after us on the day. In fact all the Lymn’s staff that were there on the day were superb.
Therefore I would have no hesitation in recommending Lymn’s to family and friend’s.
I know we as a family would not hesitate in using Lymn’s again, butI hope, not for a long time to come.
