Sensitive and empathetic guidance throughout the booking and arrangements process, and in dealing with any subsequent queries I had prior to the funeral itself. All aspects of the funeral were handled with discreet professionalism, both by the Lymns team themselves and by the excellent civil celebrant, Keith Brown, who they had recommended to me and who went to immense trouble both before and on the day to provide a lovely farewell for Mum that could have not have been more fitting for her, or indeed for myself. As a professional executor I frequently arrange funerals and the service provided by Lymn's from start to finish is second to none. The staff are professional with the right balance of compassion and I would not hesitate to reccomended them.
St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.

A difficult time for the family was made so much easier by Lymn's helpful professional and above all understanding service.
Ellie in the office was polite considerate and helpful at all times and explained things to me in a clear and concise manner. On the day of the funeral all the staff who comprised the cortege were excellent both in what they said and the manner in which they conducted themselves.
Ian our driver was the perfect mixture of compassion and understanding but I must single Mark out for particular commendation. Everything about him from what he said to the way he said it to the way he conducted and presented himself was perfectly judged and he put my brother and myself at complete ease. We cannot thank him enough.

Ellie and Beryl who dealt with my Fathers cremation were fantastic from the start to the finish in organising everything.
Mark the main pallbearer (forgive if not correct title) was absolutely brilliant in informing us what was going to happen and with a smile, not a laughing smile, but a genuine smile that was from within..
All in all, everything was perfect as it was when AW Lymns carried out my Mother’s cremation 3 years ago.

I would highly recommend the services of A W Lymn. From the first appointment with Ellie which was informative, helpful and concise to the day of the funeral where Mark guided us through everything, we felt that everything was being done above and beyond to ensure the day went as we wished.
