We were helped almost every step of the way with the funeral arrangements for my brother in law. Ellie, who dealt with most, if not all of this for us was superb. She was so helpful with everything, there was nothing that was too much trouble for her. On the day of the funeral everything went smoothly and all A.W. Lymn staff were brilliant and so helpful. Couldn't fault any of it and would certainly recommend them.

A.W. Lymn (Arnold) provided an excellent service in what were difficult circumstances at the time of my mum's passing. Ellie was our first point of contact and has been very professional throughout keeping us updated with what to do next and giving advice on how to proceed.
Everything provided has been of the highest quality from the coffin, the flowers & order of service, to the hearse and cars, pall bearers and drivers. Lymn's made a difficult time as pleasant as could be and did mum and us proud.

Russell and the staff at A W Lynn, Arnold provided an excellent and professional service at this sad and difficult time. They were kind and courteous and undertook Mum's funeral arrangements with compassion and understanding. Russell especially took us through every step of the planning and kept us informed of details right up to the funeral day itself when he was indispensable - kindly and professionally taking charge when we needed it most. We are so grateful and thank A W Lymn with all out hearts. We would certainly recommend their services.
St. Albans House in Arnold was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford in her capacity as President of the National Association of Funeral Directors. The funeral home underwent an extension in late 2012 and was fully refurbished in 2023 to provide modern, comfortable facilities for families.
Led by Funeral Director Russell Kemp, who possesses extensive knowledge of Arnold’s community churches and customs, the funeral home is supported by Funeral Arranger Jessica Raynor and Receptionists/Administrator Beryl Spencer. Together, they offer compassionate and professional funeral services tailored to each family's needs.
St. Albans House provides a range of facilities to ensure dignified and respectful arrangements:

Lymns were brilliant right from the start . Very organised and understanding of our needs. At a time that that's very sad for us, , it was one less thing to worry about because they did everything.

Only complaint was: I was led to believe that if payment for the funeral was made in advance a reduction was applied however it was not possible to do this as invoices are not sent out till afterwards.
Otherwise everything else was excellent

Lymns were very professional and sympathetic in the way we were treated at the death of our mother/mother in law we could not have asked for anything more.
Ellie has a professional yet comforting manner and the professionalism continued on the very difficult day of the funeral with Russell giving gentle yet empathetic leadership to us on the day.

Welcoming, professional, friendly, supportive efficient service from all the personnel I had contact with. Even when there was a little hicough at the crematorium it was dealt with professionally ,without a fuss. Their care and attention took a lot of the stress out of an emotional day.

Living a considerable way away from where my Aunt died, I was able to rely on A W Lymn staff to sort out all the funeral arrangements. Their staff guided me through the process with great care and consideration. I was able, via a single visit, and a few phone calls, to make all the necessary arrangements, and the funeral went off smoothly and well. I would certainly highly recommend them to others.

It was a difficult process to go through for me, arranging mum's funeral. I was unsure of the process i.e what to get from where. Beryl on reception was helpful and patient in reminding me what was outstanding.
There was always someone available to take my call when I needed to check something or ask another question.
Emma provided us with an order of service which was beyond my expectations.
The support and service received from all staff was fantastic. From collection of mum's body to taking us on an expressed route to the wake. I cannot thank Russell enough for making the funeral run smoothly. Staff curtesy towards my sister and myself was professional and courteous.
