St. Albans House in Arnold was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford in her capacity as President of the National Association of Funeral Directors. The funeral home underwent an extension in late 2012 and was fully refurbished in 2023 to provide modern, comfortable facilities for families.
Led by Funeral Director Russell Kemp, who possesses extensive knowledge of Arnold’s community churches and customs, the funeral home is supported by Funeral Arranger Jessica Raynor and Receptionists/Administrator Beryl Spencer. Together, they offer compassionate and professional funeral services tailored to each family's needs.
St. Albans House provides a range of facilities to ensure dignified and respectful arrangements:

- A welcoming reception area with two private reception rooms
- Three visitation rooms, including a suite with an adjoining private space for families

A.W Lymn did an amazing job, the staff on the day were extremely friendly, polite, helpful and very respectful. Leading up to the funeral Emma Stevenson emailed me with updates and informed of anything that I needed to do etc due to this I didn't feel like I didn't know what I was doing or what would happen next. All in all A.W Lymn did such a great job and I am extremely grateful for that.

Lymns were excellent from the first point of contact after my dad passed away right through to when Russell bought us home after the funeral . Nothing was too much trouble , the compassion and understanding they showed us was both professional and caring .

I can highly recommend AW LYMN ARNOLD. Their service was the model of professionalism, from the moment I first contacted them, until after the burial. One person, Emma, liaised with us throughout and she made what is inevitably an upsetting process as bearable as it could ever be. Communication was via phone, email and in person and was clear, sensitive and helpful and Emma coordinated the service with our Priest excellently.
The funeral, overseen by the excellent Russell, went very smoothly and with great dignity.

Right from the first phone call everything was done with so much respect.Emma was amazing always having plenty of time when you needed it to talk. We were able to give Dad an amazing send off at Gedling Crematorium, where everything was done to such a high standard. Could not have asked for more. Russell and colleagues were so lovely putting us at ease and helped us through a very difficult time. Thank you to everyone who was involved in looking after Dad and giving him the send off he so deserved.

Excellent service, well conducted and handled with care. The only thing I would say is that crematorium slot was a little tight but that is no fault of the funeral dorectors.
I would recommend A.W.Lymns fully.
