In loving memory of Barbara May Cunningham who sadly passed away on 9th April 2026 at Hayward House, Nottingham City Hospital aged 88 years old.
Barbara was a much loved and cherished Mum, Nana and Great Nana who will be deeply missed by all her close and wider family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at
St Paul’s Church,
Church Drive,
Daybrook,
Nottingham NG5 6JD.
9.30 am on Friday 15th May, followed at 10.30 am by a family burial service at Redhill Cemetery.
All family and friends are most welcome to join us afterwards for a Celebration of Barbara’s Life at The Coopers Brook, Mansfield Road, Daybrook.
Family flowers only please. Donations would be greatly appreciated to NUH Charitable Trust Nottingham City Hospital Volunteers.
It was my privilege to work alongside Barbara as a volunteer at the City Hospital. She was always so kind and helpful to everyone she met over many years of dedicated service. Such good fun and great company, a wonderful lady. She will be sadly missed.

I’m writing this message on behalf of my mother Hilda Hardy.
We were very sorry to hear the sad news about Barbara. My mother has known Barbara for over 60 years. Over the last few years, my mother has had dementia and has become very confused. Barbara made a special effort to keep in touch with Hilda and phoned her every Sunday. We were very grateful for her support.
