It is with heartfelt sadness that I am putting this message on here.

I was fortunate enough to grow up with both Roy, and indeed his whole family, back in Barrington, through the 1970,s mainly.

From Primary School, Where Roy's mother , Phillis was the School Chef, we were always well fed!

Roy and I bounded a found friendship in those early years, which stood the test of time, through to going to Melbourne Village College.

Roy’s family always welcomed me into there home at all times, with Roy’s father indeed regularly working on my Honda SS 50.

Which both Roy and myself had in our late teens
.

Along with two other close friends Roy and I holidayed as a four over a few summers, including Jersey, Ibiza, Spain and France.

My Condolences go out to Roy’s mother Phyllis, Brother Ian and Sister Melanie . And indeed to Roy’s extended family.

Unfortunately I cannot be in Nottingham on this sad day, but my thoughts are with you all.

Kind regards,

Kevin Bridges

I first met Roy back in 2008 when we started working together. He was a wonderful, kind man with a great sense of humour and always had a funny story to tell. We travelled to India together and he pretty much kept me going through those two weeks by being able to see the sunshine/light side of every situation. I still laugh today at some of his observations on that trip.
Although I didn’t see him often in recent years, we kept in touch and it was always the greatest joy to catch up with him. Roy touched so many and will be greatly missed.
Deepest condolences to Louise and the family. X

David and I were so sorry to hear about Roy and although we have not seen him for a good while does not detract from the fact that he and his siblings were part of our wedding party in 1969. Our sincere condolences for his family's loss.

Roy, you've passed on to the Great Exhibition in the Sky! I thank you for all your support, humour, stiff legs and expensive sandwiches we shared over the years at numerous exhibiton events. Fond memories indeed. God Bless.

Roy was a very funny, kind, and caring man. I enjoyed every chat with him, sharing adventures of our cats and lamenting over world affairs. I'm glad to have known him, and he is missed. Love from Tom & Claire

Roy was a wonderful friend a great communicator. I knew Roy in his late teens at the Jet petrol station, Newmarket Rd Cambridge, before he left Barrington and off into the real working world. I’ll never forget that engaging smile and educated conversation.

Roy was a great friend with a wicked sense of fun and humour! We both started at Blighter at the same time where we became great friends. Our friendship continued after my retirement 4 years ago. A very sad loss and our heartfelt condolences to Louise and Roy’s family from Susan and Peter.
