St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.
A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed by Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose, who are keeping the family tradition in providing the best service for bereaved families since 1907.

Excellent caring service from everyone from the moment we called your office until the moment your cars dropped us of at our Final point nothing was to much trouble. We have used the Arnold branch on more than one occasion (unfortunatly) and the service we have received has always been First Class.and we couldn't recommend them enough.

From start to finish a very professional service was given. Wonderful organising skills that took the worry out of making the funeral arrangements. Everything was explained in great detail. A. W. Lymn - Arnold - Nottingham. The staff who we spoke with, mainly Ellie Carr and Beryl were excellent and took every care to ensure the sad occasion of my fathers funeral ran smoothly and efficiently. Similarly on the day of the funeral the representatives from A. W. Lymn were also very efficient, yet extremely personable. As I am sure anyone reading this review would also be interested in pricing, then having done some prior research we found their charges fair and competitive.
They simply took care of everything. Would highly recommend.

Ellie was very caring and understanding with all our family members while making the arrangements and any other details/ questions we had.. Beryl and Russell ensured a very smooth reception into Church and , celebration of life [ funeral] .
I would recommend Lymns [Arnold team] to anyone . During the sad time of Dad dying we had complete confidence that Lymns would do everything to ensure Dad's funeral/ celebration of life was undertaken with dignity and empathy .

At a time when your brain is scrambled and you can't think straight, Ellie at Lymn's in Arnold made everything very easy. She didn't rush any decisions and explained everything sympathetically and knowledgeably. I thank her for that.
Also want to mention the two drivers of our funeral cars who couldn't have been nicer to us. Kind and very respectful they are certainly an asset to A J Lymn. Unfortunately do not have their names.
