Owens took us by the hand and led us through all that was required after the sudden passing of our sister. Alex and Lorraine answered every single call, and there were many, and treated the family with compassion, dignity and practicality throughout the whole process. The funeral went smoothly and all the attendees commented that it was a great service. We would have no hesitation in recommending Owens to anyone, especially as most people wouldn’t know where to begin.

Lorraine and all staff at Owens were so so considerate and compassionate at all times. Arranged everything to a perfect detail. Nothing was too much and always had an answer to your questions. I would use this company again without a shadow of doubt. Thanks again to you all.

From the second I spoke to John early Sunday morning he was patient and understanding . My relative was collected within the hour and from then the care and updates I received from Lorraine were fantastic. Everything was explained and organised perfectly. All the stress taken away from me and the difference in cost was significant to other funeral directors. No hard selling to make more money , they even used their own flowers on the coffin to keep the costs down! A family business with a great ethos who genuinely care about their customers! Couldn’t recommend more!

I have to say, on behalf of myself Robert and Hayley, that from the moment Owens took our mum from her house on her passing to the actual crematorium day they handled the whole process with great compassion and professionalism . From the very start making the phone call we all dread, arranging a loved ones funeral, Owens looked after us & guided us through everything. Lorraine & Alex were amazing, showing sensitivity & compassion & sharing amusing moments from my mother in-laws life with us . They helped us choose the perfect service for us, we chose a celebration of life, & picked the perfect celebrant for us , Jeanette Roberts. We had lovely phone calls just checking we were ok, guiding us if we had forgotten anything ( we had ) , can’t recommend them enough. Owens are an independent family run funeral service, ( there are not many of them left anymore) & you can tell the difference, little touches that mean do much. No hidden costs, & lots of different options to suit whatever your budget . My husband was so impressed he has asked when it’s his turn can Owens look after him ! You can’t get a better recommendation than that .

Step by step they are with you, taking care of your loved one. They enable you to say goodbye how you wish to and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are friendly and professional and funerals have been tailor made to suit different needs, with no fuss.

Alex and the Owens team are simply wonderful. So kind, caring and patient.
They made a traumatic experience easier to deal with. Even putting our Dad’s favourite rock n roll music on for him while he was resting there. Those little personal touches meant so much to us.

You never really know how losing your Mum is going to affect you. But what I do know is that, when that happened to me and my family, we couldn’t have wished for more genuine, caring support than we received from Lorraine and Alex from Owens, Liscard. There was never any pressure, they arranged everything we discussed providing the confidence I needed to enable me to tackle Mum’s affairs. The funeral was beautiful and was a true celebration of Mum’s life. I can’t imagine a better day - and that was, in part, down to the genuine supportive nature and professionalism of Lorraine,Alex and the team at Owens. Absolutely beautiful, genuinely kind people. I was left with the daunting task of finding a funeral directors to use for my mum's funeral and Owens was the first and only place I visited. There was no need to go anywhere else as they were so welcoming and I felt like I was leaving my mum in good hands and that's all I wanted then. They were so kind and compassionate through the whole process. I'm so thankful to them for helping us through this difficult time with a lovely funeral my mum deserved, I can't recommend them enough if I could rate them any higher I certainly would.
