We had a good, helpful initial meeting with Emily at the West Bridgford office.
Initially I was not enthusiastic about going to Wilford Hill Crematorium for the Funeral but Emily arranged a meeting for us so that we could view the newly refurbished Main Chapel. I was impressed with what they had done and that put my mind at rest. Emily maintained contact with us and guided us through all the preparation for the funeral.
She suggested that Richard Marshall would be a suitable Celebrant for us. This was a good decision. He gave us all plenty of time to talk about my husband and to plan the service which he conducted calmly and with empathy.
I am pleased that I saw my husband the day before the funeral.
On the day Andrew was helpful, calm and attentive throughout.

A W Lymn arranged the funerals of our mother and we had no hesitation in returning to them after our father passed away. They have always been supportive, respectful and cared about the individual. The funerals were beautiful and a perfect celebration of mum and dad.

Very professional, attentive and efficient. The day ran smoothly and many of the mourners thought it was a beautiful service. Can't praise Lymn's highly enough for arranging the service and for appointing Father John for providing my Mum with the perfect send off.
Established in 1992 and located at Rutland House, A.W. Lymn's West Bridgford office is run by funeral director Andrew Brown, with the assistance of funeral arranger Emily Case and reception and administration assistant Samantha Mensah. Edward Martin is the Senior funeral director for the south area and is also based at A.W. Lymn's West Bridgford Office
The branch includes two visiting rooms and a family rooms There is parking space to the back and front of the building.
The office is open Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays, from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also get assistance at any time of the day by calling the telephone number and we will arrange an appointment at your convenience.
The branch covers all of West Bridgford and its surrounding area including Bradmore, Bunny, Compton Acres, Edwalton, Gamston, Holme Pierrepont, Keyworth, Tollerton, Widmerpool, Wilford, Willoughby on the Wolds, Wymeswold, Wysall and beyond.
Former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors, Nigel Lymn Rose, is a director at A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service, along with his sister Jackie and his son Matthew.

The whole team at AW Lymn were excellent. As soon as we met Emily we knew that Dad was in safe hands.
Professional, caring and helpful with all aspects of the arrangements.
The service was perfect and my only regret is that my Dad wasn’t there to see it for himself ! He would have been really impressed. The cars were beautiful and sent him on his way in style.

Not just on the day of the funeral, but right from the very start.
The admin was first class and everything provided and actioned on funeral day was spot on and done with love and care and thought.
A special mention to (i) Emily Case for her help, patience and understanding in all admin matters, and (ii) to Edward for his attention to detail and care on funeral day.
Both Emily and Edward showed excellent communication skills, as well as doing their jobs fabulously, and are a credit to the company; as we're the other staff members we encountered.

We cannot thank Emily enough for the care, compassion and professionalism she showed in organising the funeral for my beloved mum. From the very beginning, everything was handled with such sensitivity and understanding.
Emily was absolutely wonderful. She guided us through every step with great empathy, paying attention to even the finest detail and making what is such a difficult time feel much more manageable.
The flowers were also absolutely beautiful. The large spray made with pink Avalanche roses was simply stunning and so many people commented on how lovely it was. We received countless compliments and it really was a very special tribute!
On the day itself, everything ran beautifully and exactly as we had hoped. We are truly grateful to Emily and the whole team for their kindness, support and outstanding care at such a difficult time.

From our very first contact, Emily at Lymn’s West Bridgford office was outstanding. She was unfailingly kind, considerate and calm, and guided us through an incredibly difficult time with real sensitivity and professionalism. Nothing ever felt rushed or overlooked, and her communication throughout was clear, reassuring and thoughtful.
On the day of the funeral, Edward and his team were exceptional. Their quiet presence, care and attention ensured everything ran seamlessly from the service through to the crematorium, allowing us to focus fully on saying goodbye, knowing every detail was being taken care of.
A special thank you also to Andrew and his team for the evening before the service, when my mother was welcomed into the church. It was handled with great dignity and respect, and meant a great deal to our family.
Finally, thank you to Russell, our bus driver, who shuttled guests between the church, the crematorium and the wake. His patience, good humour and calm presence were genuinely appreciated.
