In such a difficult and sad time Lymns in Carlton have been absolutely faultless in the service they have provided since my Step-dads passing. Mark Ridout in particular has been very supportive, professional and has a wonderfully caring nature. Lymns have been very understanding and helped ensure we were able to give my Step-dad the best send off. We'll be forever grateful.
G. Harrod and Sons was purchased by the A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in October 1994 and moved from their original building on Church Street to a purpose designed larger office, also on Church Street on 2nd January 2018.
Harrod House features two ample visiting rooms, a family room, a large reception area and cold room facilities. The office has a large private car park with a disabled parking space.
Mark Ridout is the senior funeral director for the area and is assisted by funeral director Paul Richardson and funeral arranger Emma Hemstock.
Opening times are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral home can open after hours if you call our telephone number and make an appointment – the phone lines are available 24 hours a day, every day.
This office covers all of Carlton and its surrounding area, including Bakersfield, Bulcote, Burton Joyce, Caythorpe, Colwick, Gedling, Lowdham, Mapperley, Netherfield, Sneinton, St Ann’s and beyond.
The Lymn Rose family has managed the business since its establishment in 1907. Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose are directors of the company.

Everything was excellent, a thorough professional service from start to finish. All the staff are courteous and understanding at a time when you are going through such a bad time yourself. The funeral service provided was outstanding from Mark & Victoria, they gave compassion & support to the family throughout. This made a huge difference to us in a difficult time for which will be eternally grateful.
This is the second occasion in a year we have used this service and it was comforting to have continuity and bespoke care.
We also received feedback from friends attending how peaceful and calm the service was conducted.
A huge thanks to the whole team who helped in any way to make this achievable.

We as a family would like to say both Mark’s were very kind ,supportive and helpful in organising my husbands funeral . They made us feel calm and at ease so making this sad time so much easier for us to bear . Also a special thanks to Russell who looked after us on the day of the funeral , we couldn’t have wished for better , he looked after us the whole way through and was very attentive . All in all a very professional service and would be happy to recommend to anyone the excellent service we received from start to finish .

This was from mum choosing her funeral plan in your Arnold branch to the staff at your Carlton branch who carried out her wishes. At such a difficult time after the passing of my Mother, especially in the present circumstance, both Mark Collishaw of Lymn at Carlton and the Celebrant Steve Eustace were outstanding in their support and reassurance. From the very first meeting until our Mum's Funeral 4 weeks later they were professional informative and always friendly and reassuring.
Nothing was too much trouble and consequently the funeral could not have been any better, especially with the use of the web cast and the excellent Memory booklets. I feel Mum would have been proud of us all and pleased with what we achieved. Many many thanks to all Neil Langley (Son)

We received a first class service from beginning to end. Everything was perfectly planned to exactly what we wanted and on the day of my Husbands funeral we were so looked after, we would definitely recommend Lymns.
