Lymn Carlton gave a very professional service throughout the process. Nothing was too much trouble. Although we were under covid restrictions, the funeral service still felt very special, thanks to the attention to detail and the kindness and consideration of the staff. The order of service was beautiful, and provides a special memento. Lymn also arranged a webcast, which was fantastic for the many family members who were unable to travel to the service, and this was really appreciated.

G. Harrod and Sons was purchased by the A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in October 1994 and moved from their original building on Church Street to a purpose designed larger office, also on Church Street on 2nd January 2018.
Harrod House features two ample visiting rooms, a family room, a large reception area and cold room facilities. The office has a large private car park with a disabled parking space.
Mark Ridout is the senior funeral director for the area and is assisted by funeral director Paul Richardson and funeral arranger Emma Hemstock.
Opening times are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral home can open after hours if you call our telephone number and make an appointment – the phone lines are available 24 hours a day, every day.
This office covers all of Carlton and its surrounding area, including Bakersfield, Bulcote, Burton Joyce, Caythorpe, Colwick, Gedling, Lowdham, Mapperley, Netherfield, Sneinton, St Ann’s and beyond.
The Lymn Rose family has managed the business since its establishment in 1907. Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose are directors of the company.

From my first phone call to the actual funeral, nothing was too much trouble, you made what was a difficult time easier for me by taking the weight off my shoulders and making sure my dad had the best funeral possible , I am eternally grateful for everything you did

We have used Lymn's Carlton for both my father and mother's funeral.
They are the nicest people and have gone out of their way to provide us with the funeral we wanted.
I would highly recommend them and we could not have wished for anything better.

To all at Lymn’s Carlton,
Thank you all so much for your obvious care and love for mum and us all at what was a very difficult and emotional time. Your compassion and empathy at all times was always evident. Nothing was ever too much for you to deal with even though we asked things of you at the last minute and needed issues dealing with in haste.
We were always made to feel like our mum was the only person in your care. She was treated with great dignity and respect.
Everyone’s manner was exceptional at all times. We really can’t thank you all enough. Special big thanks and hugs to Mark and Joyce.

The service recieved from Lymns from the begining has been excellent .All staff that we met were caring ,and professional in both manner and appearance.
The service provided feels very personalised and we were always given time, and support.

We were so pleased we chose A.W. Lymn Carlton, they were professional, very kind and patient with us during this extremely sad time. They were helpful and were happy to go at the pace that suited us as a family and there was no pressure put on us regarding the funeral options available.
