Outstanding professional caring support from all staff ,especially Mark Ridout.
They ensure that everything is undertaken perfectly and assist in every way possible .
Having had to organise two funerals in five months I would have struggled without their expertise and cannot thank them enough for their attention to detail and genuine care.

G. Harrod and Sons was purchased by the A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in October 1994 and moved from their original building on Church Street to a purpose designed larger office, also on Church Street on 2nd January 2018.
Harrod House features two ample visiting rooms, a family room, a large reception area and cold room facilities. The office has a large private car park with a disabled parking space.
Mark Ridout is the senior funeral director for the area and is assisted by funeral director Paul Richardson and funeral arranger Emma Hemstock.
Opening times are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral home can open after hours if you call our telephone number and make an appointment – the phone lines are available 24 hours a day, every day.
This office covers all of Carlton and its surrounding area, including Bakersfield, Bulcote, Burton Joyce, Caythorpe, Colwick, Gedling, Lowdham, Mapperley, Netherfield, Sneinton, St Ann’s and beyond.
The Lymn Rose family has managed the business since its establishment in 1907. Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose are directors of the company.

The service provided was excellent from start to finish. Because of the various difficulties involved in the circumstances following Alan's death, it could not have been easy to make all the necessary arrangements. In the end, it all worked out well and the funeral went off as well as anyone could have expected and hoped for. Mark was his usual competent self, making everyone feel at ease during the making of the arrangements and on the day itself.
This review is being written by Alan's brother John, as it was my e mail address that was used for the sake of convenience. From start to finish the whole process was made as easy as possible for those arranging the funeral. We were visited at home to ascertain our requirements for the funeral and every option was explained clearly and our wishes noted. On the day everything went smoothly , without any hitches and the mourners cared for in a friendly and dignified manner.

Joyce at A. W.Lymn in Carlton was excellent, she organised everything so well and quickly and with warmth that helped me. I could not have wished for any better help and service.
On the day of the funeral the lady and gentlemen that came were so helpful , especially Russell. They could not have done more to ensure everything proceeded smoothly and with a sympathetic touch for everyone present.

Lesley was so kind and helpful in accommodating all of my wishes with my husbands funeral.
