The service we received from Lymns at the Arnold branch was outstanding. From arranging the funeral and on the actual day everything went very smoothly.The staff Emma, Russell and Beryl were kind , caring, helpful , compassionate, respectful and professional at all times . Nothing was ever too much trouble and communication was excellent. We can not fault this company . Thank you to everyone and those behind the scenes for the care of my late Mum .

St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.

From the moment I contacted A.W. Lymn in Arnold when Mum passed away the staff were courteous, kind and professional. Communication by phone and email was prompt and clear. Any questions I had were answered fully and I was never made to feel as if anything was too much trouble.
I was guided through all the preparation arrangements for the funeral with great care and attention to detail. I felt so supported through a very difficult and sad time
The service itself was carried out perfectly and left myself and the whole family feeling at peace.

Our family have used Lymn’s on many occasions and they never disappoint. This time they excelled move more. From our first meeting with Emma, and the caring follow ups, all was calm, emotionally intelligent, professional and reassuring. Our family from the USA were really impressed with the quality if service.
The cars are stunning, the bearers and senior staff brilliant and, as for Cheryl Smith, our lovely celebrant - she was more than we could have expected. She took time, listened, there was no rush and she captured our loved one perfectly.
The service at Gedling Crematorium went without a hitch, it’s a lovely setting. The Orders of Service were so good too.
All in all a sad but wonderfully uplifting experience - I can and will recommend Lymn’s without any reservation. Thank you.

Even the smallest detail was carefully taken care of during the organisation period.
On the day of the funeral, every thing went smoothly due to the planning beforehand and the considerate guidance from the funeral vehicle drivers and assistants.

We wanted a very simple funeral for Mum as was her wish. The service from Lymns was excellent and in spite of the simplicity, their provision was absolutely golden in its quality. From the moment we met Russell at home we felt in safe hands. He was softly spoken and respectful at this extremely difficult time. We were never encouraged to take on more than we wanted or spend more money, he helped us to organise everything within our means and ensured that the plan was perfect.
Lymns were in constant communication throughout the days before the funeral usually via Beryl & Emma who were extremely helpful and supportive.
On the day of the funeral we were organised beautifully with kindness, respect and courtesy. There was no rushing or clock watching, we were treated with sensitivity. The whole team was fantastic and Andrew drove us with such care to the Crematorium.
We cannot thank the team at Lymns enough for their care throughout the whole process which is one of the most difficult times for families. We trusted them implicitly and would highly recommend their services to anyone who needs a funeral organiser whatever their budget.

The service provided was 100% caring and sensitive
This is the second time we have used Lymns in 7 months
Firstly, for our step mother and latterly for our father. Russ was our assistant. We really felt he held our hand and was so helpful.
The webcast provided was well used by many who could not attend. It was also very user friendly. We hope that we will not be seeking funeral services again but Lymns are definitely our go to funeral directors

Looked after dad with such grace and dignity. On the day of dad's funeral Russel who looked after us was so nice, they bought dad home and did a drive by his place of work, they did so much and made a very hard day into a beautiful one.
