I chose A .W . Lymn following the passing of my beloved husband because they were local to where we live. The service they provided made what was a difficult day so much easier to bear. Everything felt so personal to both myself and my family & friends. I was gently supported from the very first visit to their offices right through to the day itself. They gently led us through the day from start to finish, from their arrival at our home, the respectful journey to the Crematorium, the guidance for our bearers, their care for myself in the giving of a flower from the coffin spray, through to the final details following the service. Thank you are two small words with a wealth of meaning behind them. I didn't want to be there but they made it bearable.

Can I just say the whole team at A W Lymns Mansfield woodhouse is absolutely outstanding I cannot thank you all enough for the amazing service you all provide to families with such compassion, dignity and so much care goes into everything you all do. You make the process so much easier and very comfortable. I would recommend you all to anyone and wouldn’t use anyone else. From the bottom of my heart thank you for everything you have done for my family it doesn’t go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.
The office, known as The Old Farm, is located in one of the oldest buildings in Mansfield Woodhouse, a former farmhouse that has recently been completely refurbished. It is set in lovely rural surroundings and has a beautiful service chapel, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, washing facilities for specific funeral rites, plenty of parking and a full fleet of hearse and limousines.
Cyril Welsh Funeral Directors, who previously had offices at the premises, was incorporated by the A W Lymn group. The branch has most of the north Nottingham fleet on site, including a Rolls-Royce Phantom VII hearse and matching limousines.
Jonathan Baker is the area manager, and the office is staffed by funeral directors Andy Askew and Stacey Burman who are assisted by funeral arranger and administrator Emma Hind, who will be more than pleased to assist you during office hours, which are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
If you need assistance outside of these hours, please call the telephone number at any time and the office can be opened for you at your convenience.
The branch serves all of Mansfield Woodhouse and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.

Simply the most perfect, relax and compassionate service possible from collection of Mum to the service at the Crematorium, guided me thought every step and spent all the time I wanted with Mum the day before the funeral would highly recommend AW Lymn to anyone even was allowed to put a Christmas card on their tree for Mum at Christmas so comforting

I recently arranged my late mum’s funeral with the Mansfield Woodhouse branch of A.W.Lymn and can only describe their services as being utmost professional from start to finish.
Max Whitehouse the funeral arranger was a pleasure to deal with from the onset. He patiently guided me through the various choices and processes of arranging the funeral. Max immediately made me feel at ease and was very straightforward to deal with, responding quickly to any requested changes.
Having previously used A.W.Lymn for my dad’s funeral, I requested Andy Askew to be the funeral director for my mum’s and once again I was not disappointed, he was amazing! The whole funeral was flawless with everything running on time and so professionally delivered by Andy and his team.
The onsite Chapel was superb and fitted our needs. A huge thank you to Max and Andy for recommending it.
I have to say that everything felt like quality from the premises, cars, staff, orders of service, onsite Chapel and flowers.
Funerals are not pleasant things to have to arrange as it obviously means that a loved one has been lost, but wholeheartedly, I would recommend the services of A.W.Lymn without hesitation.

From the very first phone call we had to make to say mum had past to the very end your company have given our mum the upmost respect starting when u collected from home
You have guided us through the whole process and helped with any enquiries
When the day came there was so much respect paid to mum and all her family the service went just how we wanted it too
And even buriel of mums ashes was so carefully planned
We can’t thank you guys even max and Johnathon were mostly our port call but must say any member staff we met were compassionate and very professional
