About Us
The office, known as The Old Farm, is located in one of the oldest buildings in Mansfield Woodhouse, a former farmhouse that has recently been completely refurbished. It is set in lovely rural surroundings and has a beautiful service chapel, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, washing facilities for specific funeral rites, plenty of parking and a full fleet of hearse and limousines.
Cyril Welsh Funeral Directors, who previously had offices at the premises, was incorporated by the A W Lymn group. The branch has most of the north Nottingham fleet on site, including a Rolls-Royce Phantom VII hearse and matching limousines.
Jonathan Baker is the area manager, and the office is staffed by funeral directors Andy Askew and Stacey Bentley, who will be more than pleased to assist you during office hours, which are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
If you need assistance outside of these hours, please call the telephone number at any time and the office can be opened for you at your convenience.
The branch serves all of Mansfield Woodhouse and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.

Stacey Burnham has been a complete rock, supportive, empathetic and extremely professional, going out of her way to cater for all our little quirks for mum's funeral.

It was a humour filled service conducted by Katie Page, including a visual tribute, canvas on easel, photo of the coffin and a replica hand flipping the bird to the family and friends attending! The service provided for my dear mother was incredible. The day went smoothly, blending professionalism with warmth. Nothing was too much trouble. They patiently showed our boys how to carry their matriarch into the church.
Before the funeral, they worked with me every step of the way, addressing my wishes and guiding me for my own sake and peace of mind. It truly was a wonderful service and a beautiful day.

Sadly this was the second funeral we had to arrange in less than a year, my partner passing unexpectedly in April 2025. There was no question we would be using A W Lymn's at Mansfield Woodhouse for the funeral. Stacey, Jonathan and all the team members I met were kind and supportive throughout. A.W.Lymn, Mansfield Woodhouse provided outstanding service during a very difficult time and made everything more bearable.
From the moment we walked in, we felt reassured and relieved that our son was in safe hands all our wishes and needs for arranging his funeral would be well taken care of. Wendy was professional but also friendly and explained everything very clearly.
All the staff we spoke to on the phone or those we met in person, Wendy, Stacey, Andy were extremely helpful and supportive. We appreciated the attention to detail and diligence in ensuring that everything was perfect.
The service was conducted by their civil celebrant Colum. As tough as the day was the service was perfect. The way he was able to express our son’s personality, character and the massive impact on everyone he met was beautiful. So many people spoke to us afterwards and said it was the best service they had ever been to.
