About Us
The office, known as The Old Farm, is located in one of the oldest buildings in Mansfield Woodhouse, a former farmhouse that has recently been completely refurbished. It is set in lovely rural surroundings and has a beautiful service chapel, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, washing facilities for specific funeral rites, plenty of parking and a full fleet of hearse and limousines.
Cyril Welsh Funeral Directors, who previously had offices at the premises, was incorporated by the A W Lymn group. The branch has most of the north Nottingham fleet on site, including a Rolls-Royce Phantom VII hearse and matching limousines.
Jonathan Baker is the area manager, and the office is staffed by funeral directors Andy Askew and Stacey Bentley, who will be more than pleased to assist you during office hours, which are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
If you need assistance outside of these hours, please call the telephone number at any time and the office can be opened for you at your convenience.
The branch serves all of Mansfield Woodhouse and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.

My mums funeral service was carried out in the most professional manner. We didn’t have to think about anything as Lymns paid great detail to all aspects and nothing was too much trouble. They really ensured that I had nothing to worry about and the day went without a hitch. Happy to recommend them.

I would like to say a Big Thank You to all the Staff that were involved in all aspects of our Dearest and much Loved Daughter Lyndsey Anne Allen , from our first meeting with Wendy who was very thoughtful and professional with us in our very fragile and sensitive state of mind , and from that point on the people we met were equally understanding, helpful and most of all professional, which on the day of the Funeral resulted in our Daughter having a send off fit for a Princess. I cannot praise Jonathan Baker, the funeral director, and his whole team highly enough. The respect and kindness they showed to my late husband and our family were consistent throughout our dealings with them and no matter which member of the team was involved. Jonathan was especially helpful in making appropriate suggestions when I was unsure exactly which piece of music to choose or how many cars we might need. He never pushed any of their services, but gently guided me through all the choices I needed to make. The time I spent with my late husband in the surroundings of the chapel at Lymn's premises was an infinitely better experience than I had found previously and was a huge comfort. My husband's funeral was exactly as he and I wanted it and I would recommend Lymn's, Mansfield Woodhouse, to anyone.

We have used Lynn’s mansfield Woodhouse for the funeral of my father 20years ago and recently my mother. On both occasions we found the service to be very professional and sensitive. We would not use any other funeral directors.

My husband passed away suddenly at the age of 52 and I was so distraught and shocked, but Wendy from AW Lymns helped me at every stage through the process of arranging his funeral, she was very knowledgeable, practical, accommodating to our needs and comforting and that took a huge amount of stress from me at the worst time. They looked after my husband treating him and me with care and respect. I would highly recommend them at what is probably one of the worst times anyone could go through. Thank you

I was very impressed with the care, patience and support my family and i receieved after my husband died; espiecally on the day of the funeral ,from the driver of the car.
