We found that A.W. Lymn Aspley Lane helped us so much through our difficult time especially Kim who was appointed to our family. Nothing was ever too much for her even though she had only been with the company for only 6 weeks she had done a fabulous job always kept us informed with everything. But everyone who was involved with our fathers funeral from Lymns did all our family very proud. Thank-you all once again The Late Eric Jones family.

When your husband is suddenly taken away from you so young in tragic circumstances whilst abroad on holiday, you feel as if your world has been shattered and life just can't continue. Travelling home with our 4 boys without him was one of the most difficult things to do, but then in the midst of all the grief and nightmares you know you have to move forward and sort a funeral for him which will pay the highest respect possible to an amazing man. Little did we know, when we were abroad and forced to make a decision on which funeral directors to use without even having the time to visit and ascertain if they were the right ones for us, that they would indeed become friends and the rock and support that I needed over the torturous weeks to follow. Within a day of arriving back in the UK we were invited to Lymn's in West Bridgford for a coffee and a chat with Sarah and Colum. The warmth, care, attention to detail, compassion and personalities of them both became immediately evident and we knew we had chosen the right funeral director's. For them it must have been one of the hardest funeral's to arrange-a young widow, four children, repatriation of my husband's body and a funeral service which defied the "normal" and had 400 in attendance. But they handled every detail to perfection at the same time as handling me to perfection too!! My constant visits to just talk and cry were always welcomed with open arms, a kiss on the cheek and a juice immediately in my hand! Their advice and attention to detail in arranging what I'm sure proved to be a very time consuming funeral was immaculate.Their utter sensitivity and understanding at the horror of me having to identify my husband's body and the aftermath which followed was commendable. There support on the day of the funeral, leaving someone else in charge of the office so that they could both be with me throughout the day, and Sarah clutching my arm as we walked together down the aisle behind the coffin. And afterwards, when everyone else has moved on, both Sarah and Colum have remained there-always caring, always in touch and always friends. I have said many a time-I walked in a stranger and left a friend. I can't say enough to do justice to these two wonderful people. They went the extra mile for myself and boys and we will forever be in their debt for everything they did. Thanks my two lovely friends! xx

Fantastic service from Sarah and Colin !
They made this very sad time easier to deal with, their service was very professional and nothing was to much trouble .
Brian and the other members of the team also made us very at ease !
I think the only negative point and this is nothing to do with the staff at West Bridgford there should be a Meet and Greet person for anyone who has not made an appointment to take details and arrange a meeting to suit all parties ! This could stop clients going and trying other funeral parlour ! -

A very efficient and friendly team. Messages were clear and contact maintained throughout. The order of service was very tastefully done and we felt that there was personal attention and care at all times.

A very professional service. On what was a very difficult day for the family Lymn's had everything timed to the second. We would recommend their services and use them again ourselves.

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They were very sympathetic to our needs, & worked very hard to secure the staff & services we wanted.
The chief mourner was full of cold on the day, clearly quite ill, but did an excellent job throughout.
The assistant who organised the bulk of the event worked incredibly hard. Most notably to find us a replacement celebrant when there was a diary clash due to venue availability restrictions.
They worked hard to ensure we could get the venue we wanted, and were able to work with the restricted venue availability, despite the challenge of working around the Easter weekend.
I would've given 5 stars but there were a couple of a small glitches:
The person who conducted our initial interview, and was our chief mourner, wasn't available to organise the funeral, leaving a much less experienced staff member in charge. Whilst that person was amazing and worked incredibly hard to do the best by us, it was a bit misleading.
Also, one of the staff who was acting as an usher at the service was incredibly officious, verging on rude to some of the guests. They didn't make themselves known to me (the family representative) or consult with me, unlike everyone else we worked with.
