Although A W Lymn's head office moved to Robin Hood House on Robin Hood Street in 1977, many people in the area still refer to this office as "Lymn's on Bath Street".
The head office, built by fourth generation George Rose in the late 1970's, has several in-house funeral directors to help families with their funeral needs, and also houses most of the company's administration staff.
The funeral home is staffed by funeral directors Kevin Browne, Paul Richardson, Philip Wilson, funeral arranger Megan Rosier and receptionist Lucinda Pallett.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. Staff are also available to meet with you after office hours. Please call the telephone number at any time to arrange a convenient appointment.
Besides the administration and reception area, the premises have a coffin showroom, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, a full fleet of hearses and limousines, a vintage fleet, stone masonry services and a florist.
A.W. Lymn's head office serves all of Nottingham city centre and its surrounding areas including Bobbers Mill, Colwick, Hyson Green, Mapperley, Radford, Sherwood, Sneinton, St. Ann's, The Meadows and beyond.
A W Lymn is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel Lymn Rose, one of the company's directors, was president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) during its centenary year in 2005.

Second time we have used Lymns in two years. If you require a personal touch throughout look no further than Lymns.If your fortunate enough to have Phillip Wilson with you on the day his attitude work ethic and attention to detail is exemptional. Not the cheapest but the best. I would recommend Lymns without hesitation for all your funeral needs. A 5 star service.

A consummately professional service delivered with warmth and compassion at a time when I was most vulnerable. Everyone made me feel supported and safe in their care, whilst providing proactive direction that compensated for my less than able state, their care went beyond any expectation.

Losing my 4 year old son has been the hardest things I've been through in my life. I didn't even know where to start however Lucinda and the staff at A J Lymns helped me every step of the way. They explained everything in simple terms for me to understand and also offered all the added extras which made it super special without costing too much. We managed to find an amazing celebrant Lisa who was matched with us and delivered an amazing service. The team on the day were organised and caring. The cars were beautiful. They even wore pink as it was my sons favourite colour. Big shout out to Lucinda (I could not have got through without you) and Jackie who led our son to the crematorium and was professional yet empathetic. Thank you so much for everything. The hand and foot prints and hair was a lovely touch in remembrance of our son. They arranged everything with ease. The order of service turned out just perfect and everything felt so personal like they were part of our family and they did the absolute best for our boy. Thank you so much.

The staff at Lymn ‘s were wonderful from the outset - kind, thoughtful, efficient, respectful and professional down to the last detail. Most of all, it was quite obvious that they were interested in people. On the day of the funeral, everything was beautiful and went like clockwork. I can’t speak highly enough of everyone.

I work with Megan at the Robin Hood location. I was planning from the US, and she expertly guided me through the process, not knowing the protocol in England. After we formulated the basic plan she then worked with family to incorporate their wishes and suggestions. It was a hassle free and memorable send off. Which is what is needed at this difficult time.As a youth I'd regularly walk passed the windows at the same location for many years and knew of the history of the company. Thank you respectfully.
