From initial contact to organising the funeral mass and interment at Carlton cemetery the staff at Lymns have been amazing guiding us and listening to our preferences. They made a difficult time a lot easier. The evening reception into church and the requiem mass the following day was just what mum would have wanted all went seemlessly a day to be loveingly remembered of mums final journey. To all the staff we met Megan Philip and all those behind the scenes who work tirelessly and with great empathy and professionalism the family send their sincerest thanks without all of you we would have been rather lost The family would highly recommend the services of Lymns. Although A W Lymn's head office moved to Robin Hood House on Robin Hood Street in 1977, many people in the area still refer to this office as "Lymn's on Bath Street".
The head office, built by fourth generation George Rose in the late 1970's, has several in-house funeral directors to help families with their funeral needs, and also houses most of the company's administration staff.
The funeral home is staffed by funeral directors Kevin Browne and Philip Wilson, funeral arranger Megan Rosier and receptionist Lucinda Pallett.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12.30pm. Staff are also available to meet with you outside of office hours at a mutually convenient time. Please call the telephone number at any time to arrange a convenient appointment.
Besides the administration and reception area, the premises have a coffin showroom, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, a full fleet of hearses and limousines, a vintage fleet, stone masonry services and a florist.
A.W. Lymn's head office serves all of Nottingham city centre and its surrounding areas including Bobbers Mill, Colwick, Hyson Green, Mapperley, Radford, Sherwood, Sneinton, St. Ann's, The Meadows and beyond.
A W Lymn is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel Lymn Rose, one of the company's directors, was president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) during its centenary year in 2005.

All I can say is that Lymn's go above and beyond with their care when you’re planning a funeral for your loved one, nothing is too much trouble and they have all the time in the world for you at one of the most difficult and devastating times in your life. They helped us to plan so well to ensure that we had everything in place for my husband Barry (Jess and Lucy’s Dad’s) funeral, we really did have the most special day with their help to celebrate his life surrounded by all our family and friends.
We would just like say an extra big thank you to Jackie, Nigel and Lucinda for how exceptional they were and for all their kindness, patience and support that they have shown the three of us over the last few very distressing and emotional weeks.
