Everyone involved made everything so easy for us. From the first contact to the funeral itself, nothing was too much trouble for the staff looking after us and my late wife. They took so much stress off of my shoulders allowing me to look after my family and friends and focus on providing a beautiful and worthy send off for my late wife. Although A W Lymn's head office moved to Robin Hood House on Robin Hood Street in 1977, many people in the area still refer to this office as "Lymn's on Bath Street".
The head office, built by fourth generation George Rose in the late 1970's, has several in-house funeral directors to help families with their funeral needs, and also houses most of the company's administration staff.
The funeral home is staffed by funeral directors Kevin Browne, Paul Richardson, Philip Wilson, funeral arranger Megan Rosier and receptionist Lucinda Pallett.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. Staff are also available to meet with you after office hours. Please call the telephone number at any time to arrange a convenient appointment.
Besides the administration and reception area, the premises have a coffin showroom, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, a full fleet of hearses and limousines, a vintage fleet, stone masonry services and a florist.
A.W. Lymn's head office serves all of Nottingham city centre and its surrounding areas including Bobbers Mill, Colwick, Hyson Green, Mapperley, Radford, Sherwood, Sneinton, St. Ann's, The Meadows and beyond.
A W Lymn is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel Lymn Rose, one of the company's directors, was president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) during its centenary year in 2005.

Everything had the personal touch, Jackie took time to get to know our mum before she passed and we are more than confident that she captured our mums wishes perfectly. The kindness, help, support and sensitivity I received from all the staff at Lymns, but particularly from Jackie Lymn Rose, was absolutely indispensable to me and my family following the sudden death of my husband. I cannot begin to explain the care, courtesy and professionalism of the team from AW Lymns, throughout the handling of my fathers funeral.
Right from the initial planning stage, Paul Richardson was the consummate professional. On the day, the team lead by Rob Lippett were absolutely perfect. The vintage lorry made the day complete, my father having spent his whole career underneath lorries mending them. It was fitting that his final journey was on top of one.
Paul even went to the trouble of including David Powell on the team. someone who I mentioned I had known nearly thirty years ago. To have a group of this calibre look after us made the day as near perfect as it could be, under the circumstances.
Huge thanks to all involved.

My Mums funeral was a gentle celebration of her life , I couldn’t be happier with her wonderful send off
Jacky was such a fantastic support with arranging all this and it was a great comfort to me that one of my friends was able to do this with me at such a delicate time.
As expected , my other special friend , Nigel , conducted this for me and was with me all the way.
Paul ,another dear friend, was our driver, which meant ,on the journey towards the crematorium, the atmosphere in the car was a lot more comfortable for us as my family were also familiar with him.
I also would like to make a special heartfelt Thankyou to Paul as he went way beyond his duties.
Due to the fuel situation I was unable to take my car.
At the end of the reception we found ourselves unable to get home
We were unable to obtain taxis , also because of the fuel shortage.
I called him after working hours and he came back out , in very miserable weather, to pick us up and take us home.
If I was still an employee I would want to recommend him for employer of the month.
I was also so happy to see that Matthew had chosen to help carry my beautiful, precious Mum in and with the support of himself and Nigel , this made Oliver feel a little more comforted.
And last but not least , lovely Charis who pulled all the stops out to help me design the beautiful service cards. These were only ordered right at the very last minute.
She is a credit to your company and is certainly in the correct profession .

The first time the family has used A W Lymn. Without a doubt the most professional undertakers in Nottingham. The services they provided left mum completely supported every step of the way whilst organising dads funeral at this difficult time. Paul at their Nottingham branch was second to none in his manner and support at all times. I would undoubtedly recommend them to anybody having to go through the often traumatic process of remembering a loved one.
