Although A W Lymn's head office moved to Robin Hood House on Robin Hood Street in 1977, many people in the area still refer to this office as "Lymn's on Bath Street".
The head office, built by fourth generation George Rose in the late 1970's, has several in-house funeral directors to help families with their funeral needs, and also houses most of the company's administration staff.
The funeral home is staffed by funeral directors Kevin Browne, Paul Richardson, Philip Wilson, funeral arranger Megan Rosier and receptionist Lucinda Pallett.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. Staff are also available to meet with you after office hours. Please call the telephone number at any time to arrange a convenient appointment.
Besides the administration and reception area, the premises have a coffin showroom, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, a full fleet of hearses and limousines, a vintage fleet, stone masonry services and a florist.
A.W. Lymn's head office serves all of Nottingham city centre and its surrounding areas including Bobbers Mill, Colwick, Hyson Green, Mapperley, Radford, Sherwood, Sneinton, St. Ann's, The Meadows and beyond.
A W Lymn is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel Lymn Rose, one of the company's directors, was president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) during its centenary year in 2005.

I cannot praise the staff at Lymns funeral services during the time leading up to my dad’s funeral and on the day. They were helpful, professional, organised, adaptable. They never got in the way but they helped us all during a difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble and help was there 24 hours a day if needed. Thank you so much.

The funeral involved repatriation and a considerable delay before cremation, both of which Lymns handled with the utmost professionalism and efficiency, but also with great compassion. Nothing was too much trouble. We got exactly the right balance on the day of the service too.
Given the complications, we would have expected to be faced with a very large bill, but that was not the case.
Can't recommend Lymns highly enough.

Stacey was incredible organising Dads funeral.
Barbara was our day to day contact and she was nothing short of perfect. She handled the constant revisions for the order of service, and she authentically comforted family members on the day of the viewing (she went above and beyond with my wife as no request was denied). On top of that, she supported me wash and dress my Dad. She was patient, sensitive and warm. I can not sing her praises enough.
On the day, Matthew was a class act. He rolled up his sleeves and participated in the burial of Dad, and many times could be heard singing the hymns louder than anyone else. He navigated the very hard job of being invisible whilst at other times actively participated and added to the celebration of Dads life. He was more than a funeral director and he was a great source of strength. He also looked after my Mother with TLC.
Everyone from your company made a very difficult time easier. I'd go as far to say that your company will allow us to look back on the day and smile.
