Although A W Lymn's head office moved to Robin Hood House on Robin Hood Street in 1977, many people in the area still refer to this office as "Lymn's on Bath Street".
The head office, built by fourth generation George Rose in the late 1970's, has several in-house funeral directors to help families with their funeral needs, and also houses most of the company's administration staff.
The funeral home is staffed by funeral directors Kevin Browne, Paul Richardson, Philip Wilson, funeral arranger Megan Rosier and receptionist Lucinda Pallett.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. Staff are also available to meet with you after office hours. Please call the telephone number at any time to arrange a convenient appointment.
Besides the administration and reception area, the premises have a coffin showroom, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, a full fleet of hearses and limousines, a vintage fleet, stone masonry services and a florist.
A.W. Lymn's head office serves all of Nottingham city centre and its surrounding areas including Bobbers Mill, Colwick, Hyson Green, Mapperley, Radford, Sherwood, Sneinton, St. Ann's, The Meadows and beyond.
A W Lymn is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel Lymn Rose, one of the company's directors, was president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) during its centenary year in 2005.

Our funeral director Mark Collishaw has been so amazing from the first day! He made it all so easy for us to cope and plan. He has been reliable and always has a smile on his face. He is so well spoken and gets to know his clients needs so as to give the best service possible. My brother stayed with you for over two weeks but he always looked smart! The funeral was personalised and well planned! Everything we asked we got! We can’t thank you enough for all the support you! Want to say “I would definitely use your services again” but oh hell no!!’

Everything was done in a truly professional and compassionate way.
An awful time was made so much easier thanks to A.W Lymns especially Mark Collishaw who was the main person we dealt with.
We wouldn’t hesitate to use Lymns again but hopefully not for a long time.

Having known Adrian for over 45 years it was very sad to be called upon to oversee his funeral at a time of such restrictions. I was pleased that we were able to take him to the "yard" en-route to the crematorium and I am pleased that the services of our funeral director Mark, myself and the team proved helpful to Pat and you, your brother and all the family.

I have nothing but praise for Nigel Lymn rose and his team.
our wonderful son Harry died in Melbourne, Australia on April the 19th 2020.
Nigel worked tirelessly to arrange his repatriation, even taking calls from Australia at three in the morning.
I work closely with Nigel, Sharon, Richard, (The Celebrant) and the rest of the team, to provide a wonderfully crafted sensitive send-off for our lovely boy. Nobody could have done a better job of holding our hands and giving us comfort, throughout the process.
I should add that during this period. We lost my mother in law. Once again Lymn's, in the person of Joanna, at the Clifton branch, guided us through an incredibly difficult time to leave us with some lovely memories.
Sam and I thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts.

This was a particularly difficult time for you in so many ways and I am only grateful that Sharon, Megan and all the team here were able to assist you and I in bringing Harry home to his native Nottingham and to provide a service that had a warm feeling in spite of the pandemic restrictions. Due to the current circumstances with COVID-19, AW Lymn were unable to provide what we would have wanted for my Dad. This is no fault of theirs as there is only so much they can do under the current restrictions.
Everything they were able to provide was very good. Funerals are extremely sad anyway, but to have to say farewell to a loved one this way, was heartbreaking.
