My husband passed away in the home and Lymn handled my beloved with care and empathy. The funeral directors came out to speak about the funeral arrangements and dealt with everything in an acceptable manner. My only gripe would be the handling of the coffin to see these guys deal with many a day, it wasn't carried out in a great fashion. Russell was with us throughout the arrangements and funeral - very professional, respectful. Great to have a familiar face throughout. Well done and thank you.
Although A W Lymn's head office moved to Robin Hood House on Robin Hood Street in 1977, many people in the area still refer to this office as "Lymn's on Bath Street".
The head office, built by fourth generation George Rose in the late 1970's, has several in-house funeral directors to help families with their funeral needs, and also houses most of the company's administration staff.
The funeral home is staffed by funeral directors Kevin Browne, Paul Richardson, Philip Wilson, funeral arranger Megan Rosier and receptionist Lucinda Pallett.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. Staff are also available to meet with you after office hours. Please call the telephone number at any time to arrange a convenient appointment.
Besides the administration and reception area, the premises have a coffin showroom, family rooms, visiting rooms, cold room facilities, a full fleet of hearses and limousines, a vintage fleet, stone masonry services and a florist.
A.W. Lymn's head office serves all of Nottingham city centre and its surrounding areas including Bobbers Mill, Colwick, Hyson Green, Mapperley, Radford, Sherwood, Sneinton, St. Ann's, The Meadows and beyond.
A W Lymn is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel Lymn Rose, one of the company's directors, was president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) during its centenary year in 2005.

The circumstances of the death are so tragic and nobody can express the sorrow that we all feel. Both of you were amazing with your strength and your wish that Saffie-Rose achieved international fame. In my time as a funeral director, now approaching fifty years, I have never experienced such emotion as that expressed in the short video clips produced by Saffie-Rose's friends, many only of her age. What a beautiful girl who, at such a young age, has made her mark on this world. The personal service, preparation and care in arranging the funeral for my mother was exceptional. The owner and staff of Lymns could not have been more helpful or considerate at what is a very difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Outstanding company.
Faultless service and support from our first telephone conversation with Lymns to the end.
Nothing was too much trouble or a problem for them. Every wish was tendered to and they took care of my mum, and us with the utmost care and professionalism.
Our Funeral Director was Julia Carty and she was amazing, supportive, caring and professional. A true credit to her profession.

Jackie Lymn-Rose was very professional and understanding at all times. Nothing was too much trouble, helpful suggestions were made for our family's emotional needs and all of our questions were answered respectfully, quickly and with plenty of detail. We knew what to expect at every stage of the process and we were taken through all aspects of our services at the appropriate times. There is a level of professionalism, empathy and attention to detail with A W Lymn that would be difficult to find elsewhere.

He was, throughout most of his working life, a loyal and much loved colleague and friend of the people we serve in the local community. I thought that the letter that he wrote for all the family that was read at the funeral was so moving. In so many ways Johnâs life touched others when they were at their lowest ebb and for the help, support, care and friendship he gave in those situations he will always be remembered with such high regard. From start to finish the service was outstanding, Emily made us feel very comfortable when we first visited. We came to be chapel of rest and we was all amazed at how well you made Gordon look. My grandad would of been so proud. Can't thank you all enough.
